Howdy! Houston area ND alum here - I've been to an A&M game but have never set up a tailgate and plan on doing so for the ND game. Is the virtual land rush the way to go or should I buy a parking pass on a marketplace like stubhub? Any other general gameday and tailgating tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Howdy!
Here is some information about tailgating at Texas A&M at Aggie Park.

https://aggiepark.ucenter.tamu.edu/tailgating/

Honestly I don't tailgate, so I'm not sure how it works if you get a parking permit on West Campus. I know it is NOT allowed inside the garage. I don't know if the grass areas around Reed Area are 1st come, 1st serve or not.

Howdy! Best tip for first time tailgaters... Head up I-45 from Houston. Look for the statue of Sam Houston, take the exit. There's a huge park, many places to set up. You're welcome!

My best advice to you as someone that has been tailgating regularly for almost 20 years: Don't. I've tailgated on road games before and it just isn't fun. Between not knowing the rules, finding space, toting equipment, etc, it's not the same as tailgating at home as a routine. Basically the fact you're even having to ask these questions makes me cringe, because I've been that guy and it takes so much fun out of what should be an awesome gameday. My suggestion would be to find someone that has a tailgate and hook up with them, most Aggies are very hospitable and don't mind hosting visiting fans. I'm positive that we will have some domers at our tailgate. Absent that, just go for whoever A&M is using these days for the pre set up tailgates and just pay them for handling everything.

Just a heads ups for a first time visitor on the game. Yes, these are really adults enjoying themselves…

Personally, West Campus is the best by Reed Arena.

You're welcome to set up with us on the SE side of Reed Arena. We are 30-50 somethings and a lot of fun. I got a couple wet bars and we have a smoker trailer.

Tailgating is the best part of gameday if you're fun. We will be getting out there at 530 am so if you want a full experience, come on.

If interested I'll send an email if you want to get around the filter.

Hi, would love your advice on tailgate set-up. I've road-tripped to a couple of dozen stadiums and always had a good time and been a good neighbor. Driving over from Georgia. Would you mind texting me 404-441-300seven.

Edit: this for Foggy.
Thanks, Keith

I've been to your tailgating scene. I'll warn you that you're in for a potential shock. We tailgate much differently down here

Tailgate for

ND vs UNC a few years ago. It was around Halloween. I wasn't interested in seeing A&M stomp a cupcake so I flew out to see a different venue. Good times

Yep they are parking lots and individual tents.

We have carnival like acreage tailgate. Think Penn State with a mix of Clemson.

Hey there, we're also 30 somethings driving up from San Antonio with both A&M and ND alumni. This would be our first tailgate at A&M. We'd love to set up next to you all as well.

Better to wear your ND gear and get invited into every tailgate you see, bc ags are just soooo damn nice. Your welcome
