Ryan Day's record is 56-8 (.875) overall and 39-3 (.929) in Big Ten play. Yea, he's lost to Michigan 3 times in a row, but to say he's been unimpressive as far as a OSU HC goes is just a ridiculous statement. In his 5 seasons, he's led the team to the Fiesta, Sugar, Rose, Peach, and Cotton Bowls, and has made one trip to the national title game and was one point from making a second trip.

In 2022, Jimbo coached us to 7 losses. Ryan day has 8 losses in his whole career. And those losses were to:

1. #3 Clemson by 6 points in the playoffs
2. #1 Alabama in the national title game
3. #11 Oregon
4. #5 Michigan
5. #3 Michigan
6. #1 Georgia by 1 point in the playoffs
7. #3 Michigan
8. #9 Missouri when half his team opted out of the bowl game

His *worst* loss ever was to the #11 team in the nation. Dude doesn't lose to the likes of App State, Ole Miss, on Oklahoma State. Do you know what A&M would give to have such an "unimpressive" head coach?

You have to go all the way back to the day in 2012 when Manzeil and the team went into Tuscaloosa and beat #1 Alabama before you'd get to our 18th win over a ranked team.

I'd take Ryan Day as our head coach right here, right now.

Oh, I get that. 100%.

But I'm just saying that other than that one hickey, there's not any reason to be unhappy with him or paint him out to be a bad or under-performing coach. And more to my point, whether tOSU likes him or not, he's still one of the top 10 active coaches in NCAA football. He may be in the top 5.

It feels a lot like the petrino hire at A&M to me... Day feels the job slipping away and hopes a hired gun coordinator can fix things for long enough to cool the hot seat

It's comical how bad the Big 10 is but gets so much hype. It was the Big 2. I'm glad with their additions. Not such a cake walk anymore.

Day calls Offense...he was just like Jimbo. This feels like the same pressure on Jimbo to hire an OC and he got a figurehead to keep some off his tail for a year. OBrien is a hothead, but known for PSU turnaround and Bama work. Time will tell.

Ohio State had more opt outs than A&M did. They did not care one bit about the Cotton Bowl and it was widely documented they rarely practiced leading up to the game. And if you're going to put Missouri on the same level as Penn State, Wisconsin, or even Purdue, you're nuts.

There are 3 major, national title contenders in the SEC - Bama, Georgia, and LSU. The other 11 teams are just clamoring for 4th place year in and year out.
