Define paywall. ESPN is expected to be Direct to Consumer by 2025, and is racing to beat that by the end of this year.
You're going to end up paying for everything, just like you always have.
Peacock/NBC paid the NFL $110M for the Dolphins/Chiefs game. (Betting they can get 10M+ to pay $6/month for at least 2 months on average).
Whether you pay YouTube TV $70/month for everything, or ESPN $30, plus Fox $15, plus CBS $15 plus NBC/Peacock $10…it's all gonna come out in the wash unless you're cherry picking.
