You greatly overestimate their 10 win seasons. They won 10 game this season, 2021, and 2015. Then you have to go back to 2003 to find another 10 win season.

Ole Miss isn't poor. They have some money.

I've been told we have nothing to worry about because we're looting the MAC for its best players and to Trust The Process and not worry that teams like Ole Miss are picking up transfers from actual power schools

Which program has performed better since we've been in the SEC?

I know nothing about the players Ole Miss has picked up or that A&M has picked up via the transfer portal, but the interesting thing to me is - do you want to go after:

1) players from P5 schools that are transferring because they haven't been able to crack the starting line-up where they're at and they want more playing time
or
2) players from lesser conferences that emerged as key players on their team and are now looking for opportunity on a bigger stage?

Not that these are the only 2 scenarios.

They are loading up this off season because they saw their schedule for next year and think it's VERY doable for them to make it into the round of 12 playoff teams. They play LSU at LSU and get Georgia and Oklahoma at home. Every other game is almost a certain win. They're taking their best shot and firing while their powder is dry.

Yup. I enjoy calling out silliness.

That dude is a hell of a coach….he can recruit, relate to players, handle the media, and is the best Portal negotiated in the land. He fills the needs of his team and raises money like crazy. He would have been a great coach for us, but he's getting paid 10 million/ year and is the coach in waiting for the crimson tide……he's also in the best college town in the country ……gotta tell it like it is. 10 wins will be common with that guy

Just like stated earlier in this thread, there's been a couple articles or insight that ol miss has decided to go all in this yr (push on their chips on the table) due to favorable schedule next yr and many top returning pieces (QB, RB, WR, OL are all relative strengths) and need some top notch transfers to fill in gaps to make a run at SEC and NC.

Hence they are spending more than normal to up the DL, LB and CB. They have 4 major targets for DL and have land 3 of their top 4 (Nolen is the last piece they are waiting on). They land the top LB (well, IMO, before the fsu kid landed in the portal) and IL CB eas ranked top for a bit.

They are not done yet.

Fisher throwing a tantrum was a PR move. Regardless, I wasn't a fan of it, but that kind of stuff isn't what I'm talking about. The sideline antics to opposing teams, calling opposing players "*****es," . . . that's not who I want representing my university. He's a child.

Ole Miss really is an easy school to root for, if you don't have a favorite. Flagship school of Mississippi, beautiful campus, their team is fun to watch and they will score points, hot, ****ty southern Belle type coeds, The Grove on a Saturday, their athletic teams are usually solid, and Kiffin is an A+ troll that pesters the **** out of some. They are a long standing member of the SEC, with much tradition and support. It's amazing that most folks on TexAgs views them as a poor, downtrodden program, that is a weak sister foe. Year after year- they are relevant.
