In return for what? Getting blown up all season?

Our O-Line this year would literally SACK our own QB. They would get destroyed into each other, the ground, the QB, and end up on their backs.

I think the market will bear that for a top OT, for multi year contract. As example, Quinshon Judkins, Ole Miss. RB, received a $500k contract spread over 2 years from the Ole Miss. collective after his productive freshman season. A top portal OT should at least get that. The market sees Bisontis as a top portal target. That is why he hopped in. Not much competition. Smart dude.

I'd prefer we just stop recruiting high school
OL and just get transfers after their fr or so seasons.

Normally getting an OT worth a **** out of the portal is tough. That is one spot you better grow your own.

FYI, you can hear comments from the Mississippi State graduate/sportscaster on Judkins rumored deal at the 3:30 mark. I have heard from these types of sources that $2k to $3k per month is about the norm, and $20k to $25k per month for stars with production.

I had not ever visited their site before, but randomly looked today and saw that have NIL "averages" per team and the NIL "values" for each new recruit for this new class
