Umm, no. He blew that event off for courtside seats at a New Orleans basketball game.

I was pushing for Johnny Manziel helping us with recruiting until I saw a recent interview. He's just not ready for anything professional or with any real responsibility, sadly.

Johnny played football, that doesn't mean he knows much about it.

Johnny is the opposite of what you want in a coach

He's never had a job but you think his first job will be one that has an 80 plus hour work week for several months out of the year.

Not that elko is considering him but if he were, you can guess how his tenure here will go.

He's the welcome party coordinator for recruits!

He's leveraging one of our most famous player's image. (this one BTW is iconic….and it's ours!).

Dude was smart enough to get an offer from Stanford but frittered everything away. No A&M, no Stanford, no NFL. No woman.
Just lots of weed.

JFF would be 100% sandlot football. He didn't follow KDS off a majority of the time and improvised (many times he had too) and had a good OL, RBs and WRs.

Doesn't translate as he definitely not a designer of schemes, never studied playbook, and doesn't like to practice or put in the work now needed.

Happy he played for us and was great for A&M football as had that inner "will to win" (that made him great). Had a better supporting cast members than most give him credit that saved him (our offense).

JFC. Are people really so dense that they think Johnny Football would be anything but a complete disaster as a QB coach? The dude's ****ing bi-polar and a walking trainwreck. Do these same people think that makes a good combo for a coach (first time trying it, btw) at a big-time program? Are these the same folks who obsess over Coach Prime? This has to be a troll or else the waterhead got ahold of the computer again.

Coaches come in early and stay late, often working seven days a week. Sounds like something Johnny would take to.
