They paid the price when TCU gave them a lesson on what happens when you assume the other team doesn't know you're stealing signs.

The players shouldn't pay for last year coaching cheats.

Short story on this.

Harbaugh filed in court for an injunctionto allow him to coach after the B1G suspended him. A day or two later, he dropped it. Why? Because the NCAA made a deal with the B1G that they would drop the matter if he didn't contest the suspension by the conference. The matter would be "settled" and no further action like a show cause order against Harbaugh would result.

Michigan is in the CFP based on the total body of their spying/cheatin. Kids applying the espionage in sports analogy to future work place spying opportunities: industrial espionage, bribery, extortion .... the list goes on.

What? The FSU entire team paid the price for their starting qb getting injured. Be consistent at least.

I hate to break it to you, but a gigantic part of our fanbase lauds the Astros for cheating simply because "everyone does it". People care too much about sports teams they have no part of winning/losing, and it's made them explain away all morals and decency. Just look at how people act here every Saturday the Ags don't win.

I was thinking the Big X Conference handled the penalty, not the NCAA.

I think (just speculation) that Michigan and Harbaugh dropped their lawsuit over threat of not being allowed to participate in Big X Championship game.

Well the Big 10 tried to get them to lose to Ohio State so their fav would make the playoff.

In this particular case the Big 10 has the first responsibility, that's true. But the NCAA can act as well if necessary. Think of it like (at least when I was a kid) you get in trouble at school from your teacher/principal but then your parents might decide to add to that afterwards if they think it's warranted.

But my point is that in no case does the selection committee get involved in that. But sure, they would respect a penalty from the Big 10 or NCAA if there was one. So far there's not.

They should absolutely be banned from post season play. This years 4 team playoff is a tragedy. It should be Washington, FSU, Bama, and either Texas or Georgia or Ohio State
