Not only did they make the call to screw FSU, but put them on camera to see how they reacted to getting screwed.

ESPN is as much in bed with the ACC as they are with the SEC.

And Boo Corrigan is from the ACC too. (He's the AD at NC State).

ESPN controls none of this.

I agree. I think they should have been #3, and as much as I hate to admit it, I'd use head to head to sort out the texas/bama/ga problem even though I think bama/ga is a toss up and if they played 10 times the record is probably 5-5 or 6-4. Meanwhile if texas played either bama or ga 10 times they're probably losing 8-9 out of 10 times.

They were trashing A&M last night on the Sat CF wrap show...giving A&M the $1 award for the war hymn at Elkos announcement.

I'm not a conspiracy sheep, but there ain't an ACC AD with love for FSU. They all know FSU has played footsie with the SEC and BIG, and FSU defecting is likely the slight breeze that blows down the ACC house of cards.

They absolutely control the narrative. How is it any different than MSM? Can't have it both ways.

You people wear the most ridiculous tinfoil hats to think ESPN had anything to do with anything this weekend.

The BEST thing for ESPN is to keep their sweetheart deal with the ACC in tact. They make way more money off of that than viewership numbers that will barely move for one game regardless if it's Bama or FSU or Texas.

The one thing that could get FSU to blow the ACC up was leaving them out. Boo Corrigan knows this. But he just did his job this weekend.

ESPN would have made more money off the Paul Fienbaum show for the next three year from obsessive Bammers never letting it go if they were left out, if you really want to know where the money is.

The tinfoil hats are absurd.

So this Boo clown!

Says FSU without their qb is not good enough to be in champ race, but good enough to be ahead of Georgia, tOSU, and Oregon.

Golden rule applies.

ESPN has the gold. They make the rules. Everything else is just window dressing. The committee just gives them deniability

Not buying what you're selling. ESPN's been selling tu all season. FSU QB issue is 'weak sauce' (at best) for eliminating an undefeated, conference champion that was getting their QB back for the playoff. Stated earlier regarding tu..."weakest conference, weakest conference championship opponent, weakest conference champion with a weak schedule they struggled winning on several occasions with multiple instances of officiating assistance". tu sucks

Is it still a conspiracy when Texas beats UW?

Also, if it's a conspiracy, IDGAF. ESPN is a for-profit business broadcasting and analyzing a for-profit entertainment product (let's not lie to ourselves about what college football has become).
Have you even seen UW play. They beat the Ducks twice and tu wouldn't come close to matching up with them. Like ALL BDF playoff teams, they will owned by half time.

Washington looks like a really good football team. I've been super impressed with them every time I've seen them play, especially with Penix and their RB Johnson (I think).

However, Texas is playing really good football too. Statistically, it's a pretty even matchup, even down to strength of schedule. I think it's going to be a great game. I don't see either team winning in a blowout.
