Well crap, didn't realize that.

Might have to go buy an aerial antenna. Any recommendations?

The CBS website streams live tv for free. You don't need an antenna.

FWIW……the dispute is not between Direct and CBS. It's between Direct and Tegna, the ownership group for dozens of CBS affiliates nationally. Tegna pulls this crap every 3 or 4 years, demanding higher carrying fees (when they're already highest in the nation). And they'll invariably get them. And then wonder why people are continually cutting the cord

If you live in Houston, any OTA antenna will work. Plus, broadcasts are in HD. Should be able to pickup numerous OTA Tv stations.

I have a couple of these, and they work great. I don't know what this type of antenna is called, but I highly recommend.

DFW - for straight to customer loyalty. I had to sign into google App Store, download the espn app, and is business as usual. Plus got 40 off my bill for the inconvenience. Just call and ask.

I'd rather buy a Roku and do a free trial of YouTubeTv.

Looks like Mohu Signature Lead Pro Indoor see Tom's list and they rate it highly.

HDTV is all in the old UHF range iirc so you just need one of those to receive. In DFW for instance most the towers are near Cedar Hill but not all and an indoor in a window that faces that direction likely is adequate as far as McKinney. But I pay for streamed Spectrum so I haven't tried one here in McKinney.

We need to call our local providers and make sure they don't get rid of Corn Cob TV!

How long until these parent company pissing matches come to platforms like YouTube TV?

I can only assume they're getting cheaper carrying rights until they reach some critical mass then were going to get hammered and prices will skyrocket.

Oh and Tenga is the worst. If you've ever followed a Tenga owned station in social media, Tenga controls almost 100% of their feed/page and it's HEAVILY slanted

If you want a cheap solution just strip about a foot of coax cable to expose the copper wire and assuming you're close enough to have a strong signal it'll work for local channels.
