Every time we try to spend our way to prosperity, it only raises the market median…

If true, the Stoops poop exposes that fact…

"Market median"? Interesting. Is that what they're calling it at McCombs Business School or Cefco management training school? F'ing doofus.

The only guys that can be money-whipped are guys that are on the hot seat. Jimbo and Kelly took the money because FSU & ND were thinking about firing them.

Obviously we are not smart enough to learn from tu's failure , tu couldn't money whip a coach got 4-5 coaches raises and eventually settled for Sark.

Yet Sark has them in the BDF title game and on the verge of the CFP. School's still out on how they'll do in the SEC until they get here. The cautionary tale here is that new hires must be given some time to implement and carry out their plan.

Along with that is considering where Sark was when he was hired. Same as Kiffen was before he went to Ole Miss and is now cranking out 10 win seasons. This is solid evidence that a Saban/Kirby coordinator should be considered.

Schumann would be a great choice and an easy sell. Did Bjork paint himself into a corner with his HC experience requirement? Perhaps. How's that working for you RB?

Just wait for the day when the other member schools vote us out of the conference. They're laughing now. They'll laugh harder when TX/OU use their influence to push us out back to the Big XII.

The sky will fall soon.

Programs like tu & A&m should be 9 win minimum teams if the HC can't get to 9+ wins time to get a new coach. It took tu at least 2 failed ( Herman & Strong ) HC before Sark turned it around

Could be a Smart…or it could be a Pruitt. All a roll of the dice.

You're exactly right. Coaches just make too much now. There comes a point when there are diminishing returns to salary for a coach. Sure, we could raise a salary from $4.5MM to $6.5MM, but that would require them to start all over at a new school. They'd need to find and groom new assistants, have to start building their culture from scratch, etc.

This is why names like DeBoer never made sense to me. Money doesn't seem to move the needle like it used to; it's the other intangible pieces that take time and are more difficult to establish that are more important.

USC backed up the Brinks truck, a house and a private jet to get Lincoln Riley.

Somehow the Sips have managed to get a coach for $5.2 that has them at one loss. That is what they were paying Brown, how many years ago?

Money whipped Fisher into half-assedness.
