If he does transfer he will be missed.! Hopefully our new coach has a window to sell him on sticking around. I'd assume part of entering portal is to get a NIL pay raise which is the world we live in now (cannot blame the athlete).

Great optimism but it seems more of a time to be skeptical. We still don't have a head coach and last week wasn't awe inspiring
I hope he stays but he has not been used properly and our offense was trash. I'm afraid we are about to see more of this especially if we hire someone like Jedd Fisch. Wow that screams excitement i rebuilt Az in a complete dog**** conf and still lost to MSU this year.

Cool…new coach needs to let whoever the safety is to go ahead and take that targeting penalty when we play Texas next year and Evan goes over the middle.
I hope he stays, but if he leave he leaves. The portal works both ways. If someone doesn't want to be here, then I don't want him here. We will be fine. With NIL, A&M is always going to have great recruiting classes.

This is inappropriate. Not traveling with the team is quitting. You get a chance to play at a great venue and against a rival. However, wishing injuries on anyone is inappropriate especially on purpose. Second, Evan Stewart has done more for Aggie football than any of us. The school fired the coach he agreed to play for.
Fact is….. Dumbo was horrible on recruiting offensive lineman. Nobody wants to play on a bad offense that can't protect a quarterback from even an FCS level defense. The New head coach better bring in some offensive line recruits. So I understand Stewart.
I noticed more than once E. Stew trying to make a highlight reel catch when there was an easier more sure handed catch to be made. Gimme guys like Moose who make highlight reel catches without intentionally trying to.

Actually have quite a few of them on this team.
Evan quit on his high school team. Thus, it was known when we recruited him. We of course were not going to stop recruiting him. Just wish he had grown up.

I know he quit on the team. That's easy to see. Saw it at the Ole Miss game and all his actions since then have shown he is checked out.

They fed Stewart plenty earlier this year. He just isn't that explosive. You can't use him on reverses/run game. He is not a kick/punt return threat. That and he is good for a drop or 2 a game.
Compare him to Burden who was the other top ranked WR recruit that year. Burden is much more dynamic and athletic. That was glaringly apparent in the All Star game both played in. Burden dominated while Stewart dropped 2-3 passes and was largely a possession WR.
