I think it's time we had a better sideline and visual presence to represent our school... It's time for Cheerleaders!

Yes I know I'm going to get slammed for even mentioning it... But I think our sidelines presence can be as follows:

(Ranked in this order)
1/ Reveille
2/ Select Corp
3/ Yell Leaders
4/ Cheer Leaders
5/ Dance Line

Additionally, we need new yells/rivalry yells. We need new gameday uniforms for the corps.. I suggest camo. We need mounted calvary during high-rivalry games (down in their endzone). We need lighted goalposts where lights extend upwards for kicks that go over the uprights (a Kyle field special). We need to take a few steps to make the games more fun, more rivalry focused, more exciting, more energy, and embrace new traditions.

We are all about traditions... well... let's create some new ones, especially with the extension of the SEC.

I'll support any changes along these lines as long as it includes getting rid of the DJ.

I feel like your concerns are better expressed in the offseason when we didn't just potentially commit coaching suicide.

Have the yell boys go stand in the corner and try not to do anything embarrassing

You mean financial bankruptcy... plenty of people will be happy to coach here.

They were embarrassing at the Tennessee game. Twirling around like fruit cakes to some Taylor Swift song.

New milkmen are giving Tra La La a run for their money on cringe level.

The number of coaches interested in the job is of no concern. The number who will actually improve over the person who just fleeced us for $76M is more top of mind.

So, we just **** can everything we have always been about, and become just like everyone else. Great idea. Maybe we can get some twirlers and clowns to go with all this.

At the end of the day, my concerns have very little with what is going on with the entertainment. I'm really concerned with what we need to be doing on the field and in the press box.

If you want the big time circus and a dancing band, there are schools out there that offer that. We don't have to change to be something that doesn't offend everyone. We have been a unique institution for many years, and I hope like hell that we stay true to our DNA.

Bring back Yell Leaders from the 50s and 60s. Those guys focused on yells.

These new age yell leaders are embarrassing with all the extracurricular fruity stuff.

Did I not just see a Yell Leader swear an oath to defend this country last Saturday? Show some respect.

By my rough calculations... We have top 5 salary pool (probably top 2), top 5 recruiting, top 5 facilities, top endowment in the SEC, top academics in SEC (behind Vandy), and we have a top 30 football program. (roughly). We haven't won a meaningful road game in two years, and haven't had numerous embarrassments on the field last few years. Eventually we have to break the mold and start scoring some points... I won't even post the total offense rankings the last few years as they are offensive to this board.

lol at camo yell leaders so no one will see them.

but I do agree with this:
1/ Reveille
2/ Select Corp
3/ Yell Leaders
4/ Cheer Leaders
5/ Dance Line

and lighted goalposts sound amazing. Have it go green when the fieldgoal is good and red when it's off.

Need some women cheerleaders/dance/spirit-team to offset those guys….it's embarrassing even when they're not twirling or whatever.

Our yell leaders tend to show up as dorks on yourtube videos more than anywhere else now a days. I appreciate their history and role with A&M. Maybe they need to have a required PR course attached to their selection. They make it too easy for us to look like dorks and the examples thrown in our face regarding the yell leaders cannot be defended.

Assuming you're class of '96...

You should know by now that Texas A&M always has and always will be different than other schools. We've been doing it for over 100 years. That means we've also been doing some of these traditions for just as long, and have been made fun of for just as long.

Get over it. Move on. No one outside of Texas A&M cares as much as the people commenting on this thread.

LOL! It's gonna take a special kind of turd to drop 9 straight road games and lose to a cream puff in two seasons.

Fisher was a complete and utter failure at developing players and a winning culture. He had it at the end of the COVID year and fumbled. If your a OC head coach and repeatedly can't build an O line to protect your QBs, you don't have your priorities right and need to be let go. The QB is more important than the AD.

There is absolutely no reason to be more afraid of a new coach than the one that was canned.

The bigger concern over the next two years is not hanging on to the defense full of NFL talent ... and Weigman. Getting Schuman, promoting Robinson to DC, and NIL will save the defense.

IFor OC, maybe Kinne from TXST? The guy can install an offense that executes in short order. Weigman and the WRs would probably be happy to see him.

So you want the corps to be in BDU's instead of dress or pinks and greens…. But yet you want PMC in the end zone….. how do want them dressed? ….. I know…..they can all be dressed like the Lone Ranger! and we can have cowgirls doing tricks on the PWC horses.

Well, then. Let's go ahead and pick a fight song while we're at it since cheerleaders and dance teams can't possibly dance to whatever the FTAB might be playing. Maybe a peppier version of The Twelfth Man is what you prefer. Thoughts?
