Seems we've lost our way.
State beat us at Kyle on 10/2/2021, they should probably get credit for that one...Iraq2xVeteran said:
We have not won a road game since a 35-14 win over Missouri on 10/16/2021 and a road game against an SEC West team since a 31-20 win at Auburn. If we lose at LSU, we will carry a 10-game road losing streak into next year and go for 2 consecutive years without a road win. It's pathetic how Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt have won at least one road game more recently than we have.
1. Since our last road win, Arkansas has won 4 road games: a 16-13 overtime win at LSU on 11/13/2021, a 52-35 win at BYU on 10/15/2022, a 41-27 win at Auburn on 10/29/2022, and a 39-36 overtime win at Florida yesterday.
2. In that same span, Auburn has won 2 road games: a 14-10 win at Cal on 9/9/2023 and a 31-15 win at Vanderbilt yesterday.
3. In that same span, Mississippi State has won 3 road games: a 43-34 win at Auburn on 11/13/2021, a 24-22 win at Ole Miss on 11/24/2022, and a 7-3 win at Arkansas on 10/21/2023.
4. In that same span, South Carolina has won 3 road games: a 24-14 win at Kentucky on 10/8/2022, a 38-27 win at Vanderbilt on 11/5/2022, and a 31-30 win at Clemson on 11/26/2022.
5. Even Vanderbilt had a 24-21 road win at Kentucky on 11/12/2022 to snap 26-game losing SEC streak. Of course, Vanderbilt is the only team without an SEC Win and has lost 7 consecutive SEC games, dating back to a 56-0 home loss to Tennessee on 11/26/2022.

I have heard that for the past several years. Is this an echo chamber?
And although their winning percentages were very similar, Sumlin played against A LOT more ranked teams in 6 years than Jimbo.amercer said:
Sumlin was better
And who gives a **** how well Jimbo can recruit. You can just buy players now so let's find a coach who can coach

Yes, Mississippi State beat us at Kyle on 10/2/2021, but I am counting those 5 teams' road wins since our last road win on 10/16/2021 to show how they have won road games more recently than we have.dBoy99 said:State beat us at Kyle on 10/2/2021, they should probably get credit for that one...Iraq2xVeteran said:

Those numbers are absolutely despicable. Jimbo is burning this program to the ground.

the biggest disappointment of the Jimbo era...
will be failing to capitalize on the electrifying win against #1 Bama at Kyle in 2021
nothing became of that win
it was just a one-off game -- that everyone thought would lead to so much more

I do think it had direct impact on our ability to close on all those highly ranked players in that #1 of all time recruiting class.
