It won't be jimbo as the butt of jokes, it'll be A&M again. Jimbo was just a recipient of A&M's stupidity.

It took a contract to open the box and find out. You're now down to carefully denying he has the best outcome since Homer Norton's 1939 poll awarded NC. That was the basis in his third year for the enthusiasm that won the extension. It's the same enthusiasm that formed after Sumlin's entry season into the SEC which I presume everyone enjoyed. And the second year when he made the RB coach (of a team that wouldn't or couldn't leverage C-Mike) OC after KK took his Alma mater's HC job.

Which extension was worse? Or said better: which year for which extension signed the contract from A&M's perspective?

It's fine to not like Jimbo because that is an opinion. Turns out everyone is entitled to their own opinions but not their own facts.

I will agree the desire to not make changes does cause some wtf extensions. But neither Sumlin nor Fisher were failing to please when extended.

I still feel if we would quit talking ourselves out of the recruiting he's doing (so he can be fired I suspect), we likely will see the change we want. But we already forced him to hire an OC/play caller in our superstitious search to show him who is in charge.

He SHOULD be fired for giving into that nonsense. But pay him what the contract says. He isn't a thief. You guys are if you succeed in tearing up the contract. That's what the big boys do. And they do it without remorse and they don't let fans dictate ate the outcome. See Al and now Mark Davis.

You rounded down in the thread title and left off the change of $791 per day. That's $288,715 annually. The rounded down part of his daily salary adds up to more than most couples (where both are Aggie grads) make in an entire year.

That's a lot of money for you and I, but people just don't seem to understand how wealthy some of these donors are.

3 billionaires could crap this money out and not think twice about it. In fact, they most likely welcome the tax deduction.
