If you went to A&M because of football, you are an idiot. So, Alabama sounds about right.

Why else would one go to school? To go to sporting events. Football, Basketball, Baseball.

Higher education is mainly a debt system. All across the country you have four year degrees that are useless in the sense that at least half the degree are filled with courses that you will never use. Totally pointless to the real world. It's probably more than half if we are honest. So instead of spending a year or two max in school, the higher education system forces most students to take on debt in order to get the average corporate job that most people end of getting. In fact you can just get courses online that go over the exact same detail and some are even free. A&M has been skillful at collecting money from donors and the obvious luck of oil money from the start. It gets even stranger in todays time because people think Harvard is a good degree when in reality they are losing their minds and teach the most absurd postmodern dialectical nonsense. The overall system is done.

If I get a business degree from Angelo State, the interview process isn't going to be any different for the Aggie from Mays unless the interviewer is a die hard Aggie. This is an obvious fact if you just look around at any given company. My company has about 20 Texans and everyone went to a different university. Salaries are based on experience and has nothing to do with your choice of schooling.

The difference is at my company a degree from Angelo State would never make it out of the pile of resumes in HR office.

That would be an exception and not the norm.

If you went to college because of a football team, and you aren't a football player- you went to college for all the wrong reasons.

Alabama and A&M are both sufficiently respectable box-checking state schools. Generally speaking, nobody is going to GAF which you attended.

I know in my industry there are management level professionals from all levels of education. Some didn't finish high school and others have an MBA. The ones that kick ass and take names and make more money are fighting Texas Aggies. Solid fact.
I had an industry professional explain it to me in simplified terms. "It's kind of like sports you have industry jobs that are pee-wee league all the way up to the pros"
In my industry, Aggies have all the pro-level jobs.

I've noticed in life…some people are slackers.
Many of the slackers I've met started college and just couldn't finish because…(list of excuses).
Most businesses would rather hire someone that has accomplished something past high school and were dedicated enough to complete a college education.

Nothing is stopping you from rooting for Alabama or anyone else.

If you chose to come to A&M because of football, presuming you are not a football player, then yeah, that's dumbass logic to the nth-degree.
