Mizzou has absolutely bored me despite the equality of competition. We are 5 and 7 versus the Tigers of Missouri since formation of the Big 12.
The Longhorns will be exciting (although the favorable calls are going to annoy the **** out of me), but to also play OU
and Mizzou at the expense of other SEC teams is deflating when, for me, the excitement of playing Bama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas as well (our games have been entertaining), and to a lesser extent the Mississippi schools and even South Carolina, though when the Ol' Ball Coach was on the sidelines, overrode interest in past conference rivalries (i.e., I have not missed the cheating Horns one bit).
Side note - having been a student through RC's last gasp in winning the '98 Big 12 Championship, my perception was the Ags would dominate inferior programs the likes of both Mississippi schools and Missouri. Is any other evidence needed to demonstrate our mediocrity than our records against these three? And, if someone were to bring up for comparison our record versus Auburn and Arkansas in argument, I would suggest our records as evidence of the former slipping into mediocrity and the latter having slid into irrelevance.
