He coaches the Arlington Renegades for 500k. Hard to believe that is what he would choose if money didn't matter

Leipold is 60 years old & his career div1 record is under.500

Stoops retired. He had a top 5 job in the country, he loved it, and was successful. And he retired due to health. He's done.
Jeff Traylor. He's only 55 and building a solid program at UTSA. He's also from Gildner with strong ties to Texas High school football

Pretty sure Jimbo was younger than 55 when he came here. Traylor's age is a negative factor if we're going to bring that up.

If the criteria for an A&M football coach is multiple national titles in last 20 years .
Let's see our list would include
Nick saban
Dabo Sweeny
Kirby smart
Urban Meyer

You forgot Les Miles and Ol' Ed. Both would be total clusters at A&M btw.
I saw him at an event with Switzer not too long ago networking to raise money for OU NIL basically. He's done coaching cfb. Loves the Sooners and has a lot of businesses in Norman.
He told a fiend of mine that once worked for him that nothing could get him back to college because it's so screwed up now.
He is in Norman a lot during the season but the rest of the year he's in Chicago or Florida the last I heard.

It was more of a "it's been over 20 years since he's won a title with a lot of years of not getting another one since then". Even if he wanted back in, his best year was his 2nd at OU with his roster being mostly Blake's recruits.
I'd rather get an up-and-comer than an old dude who's fallen short more often than not over a lenghty career.

He's a good coach, no doubt. NU has never been the same since they left the big 12. I guess they got more recruits from Texas back, but still, they built a sizable empire there.DSAG said:
