Petroleum/chemical/mechanical engineering grads that started their own energy/oil/chemical businesses, risked everything in the right place at the right time and have more money than they can spend in a lifetime.
And yet none you describe are the wealthiest BMAs. I love what the Zoo thinks it knows.
AG81, I have to disagree with you. Artie McFerrin was in the chemical business. He may not have been one of the richest but he donated over $500M to A&M. Most to athletics but a fair amount to academics.
I don't know of anyone who has ever given more. The Zachary Family? Claytie?
I presumed "BMAs" to refer to those still with us since the topic was the extent to which "BMAs" control the athletics program, so no, Artie isn't on the list. He was, however, one of the finest Aggies I've ever known. He was very generous to A&M.
And your assertion of how much he gave kinda proves my point about what the Zoo thinks it knows. You're off a good bit.
