Pretty ballsy of the A&M beat writer to leave the Ags off his poll completely.

Not that any of this means anything at all but I had to notice...

Yeah? They finished last year #9 after beating USC in the Cotton Bowl and they're picked to win the AAC again.

Michigan and Ohio state beat writers give us our best rankings, with Bohls giving us 3rd best? Pretty interesting.

Sea Speed is more a fan of Coach Fritz's daughter.Ray Baker said:
Willie Fritz has completely turned their program around from a laughing stock to a competitive mid-major. Crazy to think they were on life support after Katrina. They also got lucky and held on to Fritz in the offseason after Georgia Tech had reportedly hired him.

And on top of that, the sip voter ranked Texas A&M the highest out of all the voters. I don't even know what is happening now.CCSkinner01 said:And was one of only five polled to place sip 7th or higher.Aggie Dad Sip said:

It's a no brainer to put the Horns high on any preseason list. They have a boatload of talent returning and the B12 is kinda toothless considering TCU and OU are rebuilding. My only consolation is they they usually find a way to underachieve every single year.

It almost certainly has nothing to do with the actual ranking. Most rankings are lazy and just go 90% off of the previous season.halfastros81 said:
Agree. A&M has traditionally performed better when the expectations are not sky high for whatever reason.

I still can't figure out which is lazier. Ranking us #6 last year in which we had no business being even close to that high on paper, or not ranking us this year? Both are pretty bad.
This year's team is worlds better than last years on paper. Now, we have to play the game on the field. But it's a much better roster.
