Sure looks like it ain't happening. There's a big reason to move but I guess they weren't as ready to challenge the GOR as they thought. Or B1G and SEC weren't ready to take additions

I think they were trying to trade the necessary votes for expansion in exchange for letting them out of the GOR. But the ACC knows without FSU and Clemson (and to a lesser extent Miami) their FB brand is as dead as the B12's with zero FB blue bloods and only the hope that basketball can carry them

Their strategy was to try and trade themselves and Clemson for the handful of PAC teams that were not financially viable for any other power 5 conference. Bold move.

They should've learned the Sneaky Pete system from the Sips and Sooners….and use ESPN to pimp them and Clemson out and act as broker for a new network deal….and added to conference of choice

They also didn't have a huge hickey like the LHN as leverage to get ESPN to help move them. And even then they only got out one year early…

Unfortunately for them. ESPN already owns the ACC rights and gets to pay them a lot less than the SEC rate going forward. ESPN pushing the SEC to get OU and texas was getting big brands away from FOX.

They willingly signed the Grant of Rights…

I was reading a FSU message board, and they mentioned the GOR only applies to home games. It might be interesting if they try to weasel their way out of the GOR by only playing away games.

Usually there today is minimal or zero revenue from away games except neutral site games. But this proves that approach is looney:

Oh it's definitely happening because TopTierAg brought us exclusive information. And do you know what kind of information TopTierAg gets? That's right, Top Tier information. So despite no credible news source saying it, and despite it looking like the original source of the rumor being Greg Swaim (who, notoriously, just makes stuff up), I'm pretty sure it is happening today. TopTierAg wouldn't just post something dumb he read on twitter as legitimate information, would he? I certainly don't think so. Nope, not at all.
