The Mall in DC for 4th of July was fantastic.

Chinese New Year in Shanghai was absolutely phenomenal.

My son and his Corps buddies will be there for 4th of July. Think they're watching it from Coronado

One of the best displays I have ever seen is on Lake Jacksonville, Texas. 9:15pm on July 4th

Disney World puts on a good show just about every night. We used to go there every year when the kids were little. Since I haven't been to a lot of shows, I have to say those were the best.

They do special fireworks for the 4th and also for New Years. There are places within WDW where you can see all the fireworks from Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studio.

Right out my front door in Canyon, TX. I keep telling people they've never seen anything like it, and they all tell me about these shows they have seen, and then when the come, they all go ... "Wow, you were right. I've never seen anything like it."

I have very. VERY patriotic neighbors. All around me.

Best I attended was at U. S. Coast Guard Festival at Grand Haven, Michigan. Grand Haven, a small town on shore of Lake Michigan in the Ninth CG District (Great Lakes), annually hosts the festival. Big parade, fireworks and other events.

Louisville Airshow. Twice. Walking around the hotel on the river in uniform (like we were instructed to), got invited to a random hotel party. Ended up watching it from a higher floor room. Sparks were raining off the bridge. It put Lake Travis on the 4th to shame.

Was it Thunder over Louisville, perhaps?

New Year's Eve in Orlando. My wife was sick and we had to retire to our hotel early. From the view of my hotel room, we could see EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, and Universal in the distance.

A Willie concert in Kerrville

Down town Siagon, Vietnam New Years. They have it down. They can spell sentences in the sky.

On a boat, in front of Johnson's Ranch on Caddo Lake in Uncertain, TX every 4th of July. They must spend their entire annual Chamber of Commerce budget on fireworks because their display lasts almost an hour. There is nothing like it that I have ever seen and being on Caddo is an experience in itself.

The Round Rock Express has really good fireworks every Friday night!

Canyon ranch as a kid - aunts ranch main road in we built two opposing trenches and had some of the best fireworks ever. Highlights included my uncle riding his horse through the fight and launching bottle rockets outta each hand, a mortar hitting a guy in the chest, 200 black cats going off in annothers shirt, and much much more. Firework shows/events I have seen the past 30 years after those are - yawn!

Pacfire onboard USS Antietam on Dec 31, 2001 steaming home after 6 month deployment. I was ORDO and responsible for the whole exercise.
