I dont care to play tu in November

Why give tu the spotlight in October with ou then on "rivalry" weekend in November play them? F that. It's not advantageous to ags long term to give tu more recruiting tv exposure

Lsu is our rival, ou is theirs. They can play some crap team on rivalry weekend in November while the rest of SEC has big games

We should play them in September or October. October would be best, right after their ou game

When is the last time we had two Byes in one season?

I like the way you think Montana. Give 'sip no favors. Play them the week before or after their rival. Do what's best for Texas A&M not what's best for what feelings are about when this game was played before.

The spotlight would be on us just as much, if not more, than it is on them.

Now this is an idea. The week after the ou game would be most ideal.

Your missing the point. I only care about what will help ags and recruiting- long term

Best thing for tu is play ags rivalry weekend and ou in October

Best thing for ags is to play tu in September or October, play lsu rivalry weekend

We get great exposure and we keep tu from getting any exposure rivalry weekend in November.

It's all about recruiting and perception.

What helps A&M is winning. That's it. All of this concern about when or how we play tu is silly.

I would think beating Texas, our main rival, on rivalry week, would help recruiting and perception a lot more than LSU, a game that doesn't even sell out.

Because it's our rivalry game? How do I know it's our rivalry game? Because fans like yourself have strong feelings about exactly when it should be played and how playing on one date vs another punishes them in some way.

It's called strategy. I would rather never play them again. It's beta males rushing to be tus play thing again

It's called recruiting and tv hype....the more big games you have with notoriety the better.

Fsu, Florida, Miami have no issues playing in September

This is what 247 predicts

Quote:

Projected 2024 SEC opponents: at Alabama, Oklahoma, at South Carolina, Texas, at Missouri, at Kentucky, Arkansas (Arlington), at Mississippi State

For the segment of Texas A&M fans who want to play Texas again, it's coming. That's one of the guarantees for the 2024 eight-game schedule within the SEC. We're expecting LSU and Oklahoma to be on the schedule as well, but continuing to play Alabama is no guarantee. From the outside looking in, this slate looks incredibly difficult. It's possible the Aggies could play four top-20 teams, maybe five if Arkansas remains afloat under Sam Pittman.
I found it strange that they have bama listed first, don't include Lsu but then underneath say they are expecting Lsu to be included. Strange.

Since we haven't played Texas…by their choice I might add…since 2011 in our most important sport, why do you designate them a rival?

I think you're delusional but feel free to defend it by referencing out 118 previous games and their mistakes re than two-to-one win/loss advantage so far…

Lsu is not a rival, if it was attendance numbers would be more. But at Kyle Field and Tiger stadium the A&M vs LSU game is usually middle pack in attendance. Last time we went to Baton Rouge it was their lowest attended game of the season.
When would that happen with an A&M - Texas game . Exactly it wouldn't

A&M tried to recreate the thanksgiving day game vs LSU but neither side cared to attend the game.

Play Texas thanksgiving night at 10pm and it will be sold out.

Hell a Tuesday midweek baseball game at Olsen vs Texas outdrew weekend games vs #1 LSU

The A&M - LSU rivarly is fabricated supported by people who badly want it to replace the Texas rivarly. Won't ever happen.. it's all about $ and A&M vs LSU doesn't draw enough interest.

So we need a special strategy for which day to play only one team on our schedule? Have you paused to consider why you don't care when we play Mississippi St or any other team on our schedule? Perhaps it's because this game is more important than the others. You know like a rivalry.

So a beta complains that we never want to play them again, and if we have to play, it should only be in certain months? That seems more "beta" than just wanting to play them when everyone is watching and beat their A**es.

All I know is ags should do what is best for the ags longterm. The best strategic move is to play the game earlier in the season. You aren't going to beat their asses every year so you maximize your exposure and limit your opponents exposure and stack the deck to a favorable strategy. This isn't checkers

In addition, on the premium forum when I was a paying member there wad a vote between lsu or tu for Thanksgiving game.

It was 67 or 70% in favor of lsu on Thanksgiving weekend over tu. It was also over 400 votes before they closed it. I don't know if you are just an old or a tu troll but most fans prefer to play lsu on Thanksgiving weekend

Know how you're a child?

When I was at A&M in the 80's we never lost to Texas. LSU was our rival and the hate was real.

LSU is still our rival.

Your beloved sips want to have relations with their BFF OU. Enjoy, I guess.

Once again, "Aggie" shows he knows very little about the history of A&M football. LSU is a rival. They have been for many decades. They will never be as big a rival as tu, but this stupid idea people keep posting the LSU is not a real rival is complete nonsense.

I have serious doubt that we play both land thieves and tu
Year 1, plus LSU as our perm rival will remain Thanksgiving Saturday.

I think we will play tu, Kentucky, Miss st and lsu on the
Road and Host Auburn, Ark, Georgia and Tennessee before our showdown with Alabama in the SEC title game.

The best thing for A&M is to play Texas either before OU does or several weeks after. Since 2013, Texas is 8-2 the week after OU.
