Does anyone think Georgia is going to keep pumping out W's at that rate? Their tally seems high to me.
Yes.
Georgia has won 33 of their last 34 games, including their 17 games. Their only loss in that span was 41-24 loss to Alabama in the 2021 SEC Championship Game, and their last regular season loss was a 44-28 loss to eventual 2020 SEC East champion Florida on 11/7/20. Yes, 11.5 seems like a high win total, but there are a number of factors that support that lofty win total.
1. While the defending national champions do have to replace a number of key players off of last year's team, they also return 14 players that started the national championship game against TCU in January and will supplement that core with a talented collection of other former four and five-star prospects who have been waiting for their time to step into the spotlight.
2. While Georgia's tremendous overall talent level is certainly a leading factor behind the considerable expectations oddsmakers have for the Bulldogs this season, its unusually favorable 2023 schedule has only served to reinforce and elevate those expectations. With the road trip to Oklahoma wiped off the schedule, Georgia was left with three lackluster early season non-conference matchups against UT-Martin, Ball State, and UAB to go along with the annual in-state rivalry game with Georgia Tech to close out the regular season.
3. The Bulldogs are not scheduled to play a game outside of the friendly confines of Sanford Stadium until week five when they travel to Auburn to play a team that is not only coming off of back-to-back losing seasons, but they will also be breaking in a new head coach in Huge Freeze.
4. The top teams in the SEC West are also conspicuously absent from Georgia's schedule as the Bulldogs avoid Alabama and LSU - the two heavy favorites to win the SEC West in 2023 - in the regular season. Their rotating cross-division opponent is Ole Miss.
https://www.si.com/college/georgia/news/draftkings-unveils-georgias-2023-win-totalI think Georgia will finish 12-0 or the 3rd consecutive season, but I won't be surprised if they lose at Tennessee on 11/18.
