I did watch the game on YouTube. I saw something completely different. There's a lot of complaining on here about the offense. Hard to say what we will look like in the fall but here are 10 things I saw.

1. The ball was spread around to a bunch of receivers and running backs. I mean everybody got involved. Lots of names called. I like that. You have to see what you've got past the studs that you know are starters.
2. Garza and Johnson look very solid at tight end.
3. O Line looks much larger and that the blocking was solid. Remember we are running against what should be a very solid defensive line. Lots of four down D Lineman and the box was stacked a bunch of times and we were still picking up solid yards.
4. Running backs look solid. Owens could be special in the near future. Remember he should still be a senior in high school. Moss and Daniels are serviceable but not special. Earnest Crownover is a big man who can block and will put his shoulder into you. I like that.
5. I felt like the offense was way more creative. Huge variety of plays. Remember we are still installing the offense. Offense takes longer to gel than defense. We were also missing a few players. Hopefully when the office is fully installed and understood we can go more hurry up. Micah Tease looks really solid.
6. We seemed to be very balanced.
7. WE THREW THE DEEP BALL!!!
8. QBs really need mastery of the offense. Mistakes will be limited as they understand the offense more. Both QBs did good and bad things. If both are healthy we will have two solid quarterbacks. I fully expect it to be Wiegman. Receivers have got to catch the ball!!!
9. Anias Smith looks rough. Still not 100%. Maybe a little heavy and out of shape. Did not look like the speed was there. We may be seeing why he was not a draft option. I fully expect him to be in top shaped by the fall.
10. We need to lead our receivers more. There were a number that we open and the throw was a bit behind them or short or right to them or slightly behind on the slant. Clean that up and there are likely some really big plays today. Especially in the middle. I like that Patrino attacks the middle more.

Johnson looked a lot better than Weigman. Modified field a distraction. The team icons next to scores (on tv) were completely wrong and/or backwards. Represented current state of the program I guess.

stop saying that stupid sh*t. Johnson didn't look good. About threw 3 or 4 INTS and threw some ground balls too.

#3 I am not sure if the OL is that good or the DL is that bad. The d ranked #14 in run defense last year in the sec. That was with all those D Line studs.

Till proven otherwise going to assume both units are not up to par to have a note worthy season.

Plus way more scrambles and too late throws from Johnson.

He was better than CW. Problem with Max was ball placement on the deeper throws. Some should have been inside the numbers and others outside the numbers. The receivers were open, but ball placement was off.

i think spring game can give you a little insight into the fall but not much. the best thing that can happen in a. spring game is no one gets hurt for the season.

There are still a ton of questions with this team, so I understand anyone being cautiously optimistic. But IMHO, there were more positives to take away from that game than negatives.

The biggest negatives were the sheer lack of number of scholarship players at DB and WR that played. We had 4 total at each position. And of course, Weigman's pass % was low.

I'm still at an o/u for 8.5 with this team. Nothing earth shattering. 8-4 or 9-3 both seem reasonable for this team. We need to add a few solid pieces in the portal at some key positions for depth at the very least, and I would like to hear about us entering fall camp healthier than we are now (we should be). Maybe I could go higher if those things happen.

Fair assessment but goes against all the whiners out there who lambast everything about the program.

From a pure numbers standpoint, Max looks slightly better in a vacuum. But Weigman had much, much more high end throws. Would take my chances with him all day every day. It's pretty easy to see who is the better QB IMHO.

But it's a good problem to have.

I don't care even slightly the differences in the two in spring practices and fall camp. We saw real games last year. If anyone other than Conner Weigman is the starting QB Jimbo should be let go immediately. Completely stupid.

Max can run as well. He's a bigger body than CW. Max had a perfect deep ball on his first possession for a long TD throw. Perfectly placed. He had several drops as well. I would give the edge to Max right now. If CW is the savor as many here are saying, the. I would have expected better results than what he put up. Owens actually looked pretty good running the ball for a kid his size.

CW is the unquestioned starting QB. Max is about as good of a backup QB as you could hope for. Nothing has changed in this area. Nothing will change. Saturday was an open practice. Nothing more. Move on.

So you were there, or you basing your opinion on last season?

There were so many non scholarship and backup players in the game it didn't mean much.

So, let me make sure I understand what you're saying. You want to take our offensive roster, break it into 2 teams to divide the talent as equally as possible with limited depth, then base who should be the starting QB this season on the statistics compiled during this intra squad scrimmage?

Forgot who should start, you want to use them to analyze anything??? They didn't even motion...

Garza had two terrible drops that I counted.

Let's evaluate Anias based on his massive game contribution not a practice where he was wearing a medical jersey.

Other than it kind of being a football game I don't understand why anyone watches the Spring game. If you've watched Aggie football for more than 2 years you'd realize that this game means nothing in terms of predicting how the season will go.

The only player that really opened my eyes on Sat was Rueben Owens. He's not there yet but I think the kid has the talent to be a really special one. Crownover ran like a beast and I think Albert Regis is going to outperform his recruiting ranking. He showed that in his limited time last fall.

Other than that…….it was a practice.

Did I say that idiot? No. Reading comprehension would do you extremely well in the future. Apparently you didn't attend or did you? If not, then STFU. Tired of of crying Nancy's as are the players….

Let's hope it all falls into place for a solid season. Another disappointing season and the big boys will buy out Coach Fishers contract then we get to start all over again with land thieves and t.u. coming to ruin the conference.

Not good when walk-ons have been stealing the show recently. Good size, okay speed, decent hands. As of right now PWOs may actually see the field at a few positions like WR this year
