I went to the SMU/TAMU games in Dallas back in the first couple of years of the SEC and the SMU fans were indifferent.

I went to the last game in Austin and there were some VERY belligerent fans but the people immediately around me apologized for their behavior.

I've since moved to Eugene, OR and have been to a few Ducks games and the Cal and CO fans didn't really show up, but the Utah fans were actually pretty rowdy last fall, but still polite.

I'm expecting some interesting Baton Rouge stories to be shared though.

SEC - Auburn game in '12 @ Auburn.

Other - Saw Wille Mays vs Colt 45's in old 'outdoor' facility before Astro Dome. Rusty Staub was a rookie. Don't remember who won.

I enjoyed Clemson. Thought their fans were very welcoming and friendly. Was an enjoyable town to go to a game but nothing crazy atmosphere wise.

Few years ago I went to a CFL Winnipeg Bluebombers game in early November. Really cool experience. Similar to a small college stadium. Really excited fanbase.
Let's go, Brandon!

'88 Arkie in Fayetteville. We were ODs for the game, the fans and students were super friendly. We got dressed in one of the dorms and met a bunch of the students and saw some of their Traditions before the game over on Sorority Row. It was their homecoming.

At Auburn in '12 as is mentioned above. Aside from Johnny just absolutely wrecking shop, the war eagle is the coolest thing I've seen at the start of a game.

I used to love when we did the spirit with the players on the field, now it's basically cougar high...

@ Auburn in 2016. Was just a great environment overall. Friendly fans, cool stadium area, and an Aggie win.

Tiger Stadium, LSU, August 1986

First game of the season and we bussed from college Station to Baton Rouge on that Saturday morning

The fans were loud and drunk, the stadium smelled like alcohol, they patked their tiger on front of the band and proceeded to chant "tie-gah bait" over and over.

It was the only time we marched on a grass field during a game, and the steam could be felt.

We lost the game but it was a great experience,

Colorado Boulder 1995 was awesome. Stadium is cool and Coors Light was flowing like a waterfall. If only....

LSU 1994 in BR was fun. Clemson 2005 was a good experience even with Fran Staph.

I need to get out more. Lolz.

Was at the "Pujols" game, loudest I'd ever heard a stadium to the quietest in a fraction of a second...Could hear the Cardinals dugout as if I was in it...

Without a doubt the tu 12-7 game in 06 I think?

2 of my friends play for the sips and I got tickets in the player's family section which was right behind the A&M bench. Not only great seats but I was in a maroon jacket in a sea of orange.

At the beginning of the game their arrogance was on full display so they felt bad for me and were very nice. When we scored on our first drive I played into it by saying "y'all had to give us 1, it's probably the only one we'll get all day" and they all laughed. Still confident. Then laughed at me when we missed the xp.

After that, it slowly turned to frustration by them, then downright anger a few times (Cart) and utter horror when McGee scored the late TD.

We were close enough to hear the entire Aggie bench so that made it even better.

Michigan at Notre Dame. Lou Holtz's first game as ND Head Coach.

The Band played Louie Louie. The University banned it(no pun intended) afterwards because the only thing
they knew about it was the slurred version from Animal House where you can't understand the lyrics
but they must be bad. The University newspaper published the lyrics and the ban was lifted.

98 Big 12 championship game against Kstate. It had to be at least 80% Kstate fans and they just knew they were going to win and play for national championship. " he got a touchdown, he got a touchdown "..

Nolan Ryan's 7th no hitter.

February before the season, rangers would have an open house and sell individual game tickets. My wife and I bought the best seat we could afford for a non tv game. Sitting between home and 3rd. Curtis dicky was the usher for our section and played with our daughters and bs'd with us about football during the game.

1992 Disney pigskin classic - yell practice with Mickey Mouse in Aggie uniform 10-7 Aggies over Stanford
1994 LSU at LSU - too drunk to remember score but we won. My roommates and I won the 96.1 radio station contest of decorating your house with beat the hell banners. We won two plane tickets to New Orleans - 2 nights stays in Hilton in New Orleans, a rental car for weekend, two tickets to game, and $96.10 in cash. Had a friend of my working with LSU athletic department and she gave us an additional 10 free tickets as the group blossomed to 12 people.

We all flew in Friday night, partied on bourbon street and slept in the hotel room. Next morning woke up took two cars to Baton Rouge and started drinking. My friend from LSU meets us and invites us to the LSU Budweiser tent as her boyfriend worked for Budweiser, man we got stared at all day. Game time approaches and friend says to come with her to get to the game - all twelve of us in Aggie gear we walk right through the LSU locker room and exit the doors the players did to get to the field - we are on the field. We walk pass the Texas A&M players bench and take our seats - we are on the field in two rows of seats in the end zone. The people behind us are separated by a screen that catches the extra point. I caught the first points of the game in an Aggie dip field goal. Too bad I had to give the ball back. Man did we get drenched. All kinds of liquid was raining down on us. The more a&m scored and the closer it got to the end of the game the wetter we got.

I have had more but this one comes to mind.

2012 Bama game. We didn't encounter any unpleasant Bama fans, before or after the game. On the way out of the stadium, Bama fans would approach and you'd brace yourself for something negative, but they just wanted to congratulate us (we were sitting in the lower bowl--perhaps the Bama fans in the cheap seats weren't as gracious).

1998 Big XII championship. Never seen a fan based more crushed.

1998 Big 12 title game

One game often gets overlooked in The memorable game book is the 1997 Colorado game.

#3 Ags lost at #7 Colorado in early season showdown in 1995. Was another big game loss on RC resume.
In 1996 Colorado came to Kyle field for our first home Big 12 game and we fumbled the opening kickoff and CU scores on first play from scrimmage and coast to a 24-10 win that wasn't that close… Ags go 6-6 in 1996.

Goto Boulder early in 1997 season and Ags came away with a hard fought 16-10 win, springboard to the '97 south division title and 1998 Big 12 title

Most intimidating road game … first trip to lincoln in 1999. First time see the Nebraska tunnel walk and it was all it was hyped up to be. Great pregame atmosphere… Ags lost 37-0 that day

Most overrated atmosphere- Notre Dame and Clemson

Most overrated non A&M game venue I've attended- Florida State Doak Campbell Stadium

Watched the 2018 TAMU vs LSU game at the Association of Former Students Building. The building was nearly empty when everyone thought that LSU had won, but once we tied the game, more people were running in to watch the live stream of the game. Definitely was a fun and crazy atmosphere as we witnessed all of the OT and eventually our win. Place erupted once Kendrick Rogers caught the game winning 2 point conversion and we all sang the War Hymn together after the win.

There were some great Alamo Bowls I covered back in the day. What's fun about that venue for journalists is it has an open air press box, so you really feel the crowd more than most places. The 2011 Alamo bowl, where RGIII went nuts in a back-and-forth 67-56 victory, was a wild one.

At the high school level, I covered games in some small towns where the local Mom's would prep five-course meals for the press box. Brisket, beans, cake - the works. I liked those games.
Thanks and gig'em

I'll third this one. First official SEC roadie. We absolutely destroyed Auburn but their fans were over the top friendly and cool. Like, you weren't sure if they were even for real.

Outside of A&M……….WS Game 6 last year. Watching Yordan launch that bomb which is still orbiting somewhere around Venus
