What will be the ripple effect in recruiting? Looking at their current roster, i see several Texas recruited players with possible ties to Jimbo.

Lines could also be drawn back to "more surprises to come" on twotter.

No not really. 1 or 2 recruits might jump ship at most. Head coaching changes don't usually amount to much.

Bigger question - what ripple effect will it have on head coaches? Who replaces Harbaugh if he leaves? Then who replaces that guy? And so on…

Pretty sure Jimbo will be money whipped by Michigan donors and leave.

It will be a good time to pick up Jeff Traylor as HC.

This is what intrigues me. If I'm Michigan, I call Kyle Wittingham, Dave Aranda, Mark Stoops, Chris Klieman, maybe Pat Narduzzi. That's just off the top of my head with not much thought put into it…

Slightly different because the departing coach took the best players with him. Harbaugh can't take Michigan players with him to Denver.

Jimbo and Harbaugh are more similar than different.

How so?

On Dykes, while he's taken jobs that seem to be a step up, I don't see him leaving TCU for UM. With OU & tu leaving, TCU would seem to be in a pretty good spot.

So when he fails after 3 seasons people will call him 'Traylol'?

I don't think he's leaving. He took a pay cut after the 2020 season to stay. He's had back to back Big 10 titles and CFP appearances. It's probably leverage to get Michigan to give him big extension which they probably will.

You can only spend so much money. It's warmer in Texas and TCU will not be as demanding as MU. He stays at TCU.

Harbaugh isn't going anywhere- especially the cess pool that is the current Broncos franchise. Just his agent working the offseason. Harbaugh gets a raise & every coach mentioned as his possible replacement does as well.

The B1G is about to get paid. The Big 12 has settled down, but is no where close to the B!G. Michigan will play at 12:00 on Fox, 3:30 on CBS or 7:00 on NBC. Good luck finding most TCU games. Even if TCU wins the Natty, they will always be in the shadow of the Cowboys, and then Texas, OU and A&M in DFW.

In college football, it doesn't get any bigger than Michigan. That is why why FOX, DBS and NBC backed up the Brinks truck to the Big Ten office in Rosemont.

I dont think Sonny Dykes cares about any of that. Gary Patterson at TCU was one of the highest paid HC's in CFB and was HC there for 21 years. That type of longevity is unheard of in CFB these days. Dykes making the natty this year basically guarantees him job security for life at TCU. Michigan was ready to run off Harbaugh after a string of mediocre/bad seasons. Dykes is a Texas guy and has deep recruiting ties in the state, it makes no sense for him to go to UM.

Its likely that TCU will make Dykes one of the top 5 highest paid coaches in CFB after this year, and he will probably get a guaranteed Jimbo type of contract. I dont think hes going anywhere.

Agree. Dykes is kind of the offensive version of G Patterson. Looks like a good fit there. Can't really see him at a school like Michigan.
