The timeout Kirby did before the fake punt was brilliant and literally saved their season, IMO.

As someone pointed out, Fisher would have been looking at his Denny's menu for the expected upcoming offensive series and the fake punt would have succeeded against A&M.

Fisher needs to throw away the menu and focus on the game. Proper timeouts, challenges and reactions to what happens during the game need his full attention.

Not sure Kirby would've caught it if he had not been advised.
Regardless, that was a heads up job by somebody somewhere with Georgia.

This is a football forum where we talk about the team and coaches and give opinions. Yes, we criticize coaching on here. They make so much money they can handle the criticism.

Dennys menu or not, even when our team does sniff out a fake punt, the refs allow the opposing team's blockers to tackle and drag down the defender trying to make the stop which lets the fake be successful.

But he was t looking at a play sheet so when they contacted him he was ready and able to go call the timeout immediately

We were literally burned by ole miss in a very similar situation
