Hard to believe that it was 35 years ago when the Aggie destroyed Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl.

I remember it was cold.

Tim Brown got upset about his towel.

We were the only team to beat Notre Dame in 1988.

Roper, Wallace, Bob...really fun watching A&M linebackers back in the day.

OP, thanks for posting.

Greatness with Jackie Sherrill as HC, and RC Slocum as DC.

I was there, and still have my 12th Man Towel from that day. Wrote on it the game and date. Now that I remember that, I need to hang in in the man-cave.

I was at this game and the '98 Championship game over K-State. Hard to believe how few of these high points we've had since.

That was half a life ago for me.
Where has time gone and why so fast?
Great memories of that time though.

Great memories. We played hard all game. Not a single player stuck out alone. We were all playing to our best potential that game.

I went to the Cotton Bowl the year before when we lost.

And we got our car towed.

But I remember watching this one.

Yea, the 87 Cotton Bowl was my last time to March in the Aggie Band and the game was a disappointment

Cold and windy. We were Press Box side , upper deck, on the North 35yd line about 20 rows up.

Notre Damn got out to 10-0lead. Then Adam Bob took over.

I just realized that this bowl victory was the LAST time A&M won a conference title and bowl game in the same season.

I've been to every Cotton bowl the Ags have played in since the one against Bama in 68. This was a really good one, and cold.

I was stationed at Carswell 85-87. Made it to the '86 Cotton Bowl, sat B52 alert for the '87 Cotton Bowl. Transferred to Enid OK in 87 and drove down for the'88 game. So I got to see the two wins and luckily missed the '87 game

Cold as balls that day. I remember driving to the stadium and listening to the pregame on the radio and the announcers acted like they didn't even know A&M was playing. Entire show was about ND and Tim Brown's homecoming. Which made the ass kicking that much sweeter

I remember this game well. Watched from home. I was 4.

Did we play ND again the next year, also? I remember a pair of back to back Cotton Bowl's against ND....

NVM. It was 1993-94. Two Cotton Bowls both featuring A&M vs ND.
