Saban was out of line, and Jimbo was right to respond, but he got emotional and went too far. The only way that would've worked out for Jimbo, was if we had dominated this year. What happened was pretty much the worse case scenario to follow-up on Jimbo's rant.
Don't escalate something if you can't back it up on the field.
He responded to claims that had nothing to do with wins and losses. As such, wins and losses do nothing to help or hinder his argument.
When someone makes claims about you that aren't true, speak up. What happens after the fact has no bearing on whether or not you should stand up for yourself and your team in that moment.
