I'll never forget about scouting report I heard on a draft podcast about Pitt's Darrell Revis who ended up as one of the greatest CBs ever. Reminds me to some degree of Grimes who is also a press corner.

Revis didn't have many college interceptions because QBs didn't throw his way. And it wasn't some fear factor thing. He was SO good that he didn't even usually let the receiver off the line of scrimmage before the ball had to come out.

Our pass rush is going to be great. Its going to be so good that even a 1 second longer jam (doesn't even have to be as good as Revis) could be an incredible defensive upgrade.

Interceptions are the most lazy way to evaluate CBs.

He was NFL draft worthy this year so highly unlikely he stays for two. Hopefully it's a no brainer for him to go pro next year.

Considering our lack of depth after the transfer portal and Jaylon Jones declaring, this is a huge get!!

The interception he's going to make to seal the national championship game against Georgia will demonstrate his athleticism and anticipation. 1st rounder in 2024 NFL draft.

I completely agree I hope he's a 1 year guy. That would mean he has a great year next year.

We just lost a few CBs and he has experience. Good player in a position of need.

For those casting doubt on his ability, you might want to consider that UNC had FIVE CBs, one S, two DL, and two LBs enter the portal (out of their total of 15 players) in three days from December 5th through 7th..

Might there be an issue with the UNC coaching staff that these players might want to go elsewhere for their professional preparation? That is what the grimes family is putting out (new staff with a new scheme).

They aren't getting new guys for the next season... they got them for last season. And maybe it didn't go well.

As a Transfer... he gets to pick his DC/DB coaches that he wants to play for instead of taking what the school gave him after he started going there.

Their CB transfers are reminiscent of our LB situation.

Makes you wonder what's going on in those position groups.

Safeties: Jardin Gilbert and Jacoby Mathews
Nickel: Bryce Anderson

I INT in his college career? 32 tackles? Am I missing the stud part?

He's had 36 tackles this year and 47 last year.

Also he's an experienced CB which we desperately needed.
