Flipped LB York from Baylor

Three remain:
Bama commit S Tony Mitchell (Alabaster, Al) - I'd expect getting him to be a longshot.
Stanford commit TE Jaden Platt (Haslet, Tx) - Looks positive
Uncommited OT Caden Jones (New Orleans, La) - Nephew of former A&M DT Marcus Jasmin.

More kids will hit the portal after their big bowl games or after the playoffs. No one wants to bail on a possible ring. I'm not judging this class until Feb.

Why would Stanford commit TE Jaden Platt come to College Station?

He would be going to a top notch school in the Bay Area with great weather. If I were him, I would stay put.

Yes. My dad is a Stanford grad. Too bad I wasn't good enough to get in. I hope my son does one day.

Shaw is gone, that is true. The new guy may afford many opportunities. It's not that things are guaranteed for him in College Station either.
