I'm actually very skilled at wiping my ass with TP and to my knowledge have never soiled my ring in doing so. But just in case, I make sure to wash my hands with soap and hot water.

For all the history and symbolism shown on the ring, we don't put enough emphasis on the purpose of the rough surface on the bottom of the band, which is to collect fecal matter when wiping

Only time i haven't worn mine mine was on deployment.

The only reoccurring issue i have with it is it sometimes gets hung up on the lever of a Henry rifle i shoot.

Mine has been sitting in my nightstand for the last 10 years.

I got a job and got married so there's no reason to wear it anymore.

My first one was stolen. After I bought my 2nd one, it stays on at all times.

I had carpel tunnel surgery on my left hand (Aggie ring on right) about 10 years ago. My surgeon was a T-Sip and we had some good natured fun leading up to the surgery. When they took me back for pre-op he told me to take off my jewelry. I slipped my wedding ring and watch off but told him that since he was operating on my left hand, my Aggie ring didn't need to come off. (it probably wouldn't have come off anyway!). He looked at me and got serious and told me that if my right hand started to swell that he would gladly cut my Aggie ring off during surgery. I told him if my right hand began to swell due to his fine work that replacing the ring wouldn't be an issue after my attorney got finished with his malpractice insurance policy. He laughed and left my ring on during the surgery. My ring doesn't come off....period. Gig'Em!
