is in a bowl or the CFP. Which is why it hasn't been announced yet.

I wouldn't say it's possible, I'd say it's probable
I certainly hope we aren't looking to hire a guy whose team didn't even make the post season

Then, you'd look like Prime Time.
He looked like trash pacing in front of a bunch of Colorado players saying, "The more of you that enter the portal, the more space it gives us when "we're coming.". "I'm bringing my own guys."
The, the next week, he is telling his players, "If you don't play in the Championship game, I'll exclude you from going to Colorado with me." "You have a commitment to fulfill."
You create too much turmoil and it is best to cut the coach loose.

Seems unlikely
Even if he is still coaching he could be announced And still finish his coaching duties
Hope I am wrong ; a poster on another thread thought " Jimbo was intentionally slow playing with the goal of not bringing a new guy in " That seems much more likely

I don't think this is happening. I think we legit don't have a candidate yet. What benefit is it to us to wait until after their bowl game?

I don't think a coach has ever announced they are leaving and stayed with their current team to coach the bowl game

I disagree. See: Brian Kelly. He was 5th in the CFP rankings with ND and when he was hired by LSU... he left.Sq 17 said:
regarding coach Prime head coaches taking better jobs have different expectations
I think the rules are different for coordinators and position coaches
If we offered the best OL coach in the country the OC job I doubt him taking that job and announcing would affect his ability to coach in his bowl game.

No OC in the CFP is going to take a lateral move to work for a coach whose seat is blazing right now.
