Hate to be talking about next head coach for MSU during this time, given the unfortunate loss of Leach, but this is an opening that I could see him being interested in. Style of play similar, and could retain much of the staff and just slide in running the offense with success. Wonder if they promote the DC. Crazy to think of new coach under these circumstances.

if i am miss st how do you not go after dan mullen. if you can get passed the fact that he left miss st for florida. he took miss st to heights they have never experienced and haven't since he left. seems like the perfect fit.

This would probably be their best move.

Mullen has stated he's not interested in a football coaching job for the 2023 season. Otherwise we'd be talking to him about being our OC.

From TCU's beat writer:

Relatedly, sources close to the TCU program said Riley signed a new contract at TCU and rebuffed a 3-year, $6 million offer from Texas A&M.

If Mullen wants to go back to MSU all he has to do is come up with a Bear Bryantesque "it's like your momma calling you home" statement and he will be just fine. They'd eat that **** up.

From what I hear, Mullen didnt leave on good terms, and Miss St had a bad taste in their mouth with how he left. I highly doubt they will pursue him.
