Flip TCU and tOSU to avoid the possible all B1G CG and I think you're dead on

I agree with that seeding prediction becasue TCU has 12 wins compare to Ohio State's 11 wins.

UGA #1
UM #2
OSU #3
TCU #4
The committee gives OSU the edge because they lost to the higher ranked team and they will reward UGA with the more winnable matchup.

Kind of weird to see a team lose (TCU) so late in season and stay ranked right where they were. But that is what is going to happen.

2 teams make the playoffs that lost their last game. Kind of weird.

USCw lost its chance at the Playoffs because they had to play a team they lost to earlier in the season in the PXII Championship Game.

So, requiring tOSU to go through Michigan would be fair. But, it won't happen.

TCU will get in. Imagine the controversy of having:

Georgia vs tOSU
Michigan vs Alabama/Tennessee

Tennessee beat Alabama in head-to-head and lost to #1 Georgia, so there is a case to put Tennessee in over Alabama.

Now, remember

SEC adds: OU+Sips <- Best/RIchest two teams from the BXII
B1G adds: USC+UCLA <- Best/Richest two teams from the Pac12.

I'll give you 50/1 Tennessee doesn't get in. Name the wager. I'll meet u with $

I'd be surprised if they matched up Michigan and Ohio State in the first round.

Ohio State loss was to the # 2 seed team while TCU had the worst loss to a 3 loss K-State team.

This is the correct answer because no one likes a OSU/Michigan rematch in the first round. It is also the correct 4 teams that should be in the playoff. This isn't that debatable this year really.

I agree with you. (Still shocking TCU can lose and not even drop 1 spot).

But IMO no way is TCU 1 of the 4 best teams. Vegas would definitely have Bama favored in that one.

and, their loss was arguably not as bad as tOSU's loss. That was to a much much better team, but they also looked much much worse.

What about the fact that Ohio State got blasted at home while TCU barely lost at a neutral field.

So if you play a top team and get blasted it doesn't matter? I wish that was the case in 2020 when A&m did not make the playoffs.

Who cares who Vegas would favor...

Bama lost twice in conference play, and did not make it to their championship game.
TCU was undefeated and lost in OT in their championship game.

That has to mean something.

In 2020 the argument was that A&m got beat badly by Bama so shouldn't be in the playoffs. Even though A&M lost on the road early in the season.

Ohio State gets blasted at home by Mich and still makes the playoffs.

They are the luckiest team ever.

I am not arguing who should be in but my whole point is that the committee says they want the 4 best teams.

If they played I would definitely bet you Bama would beat TCU.

Newsflash. TCUs head coach a goofball.

First almost cost his team a win against Baylor and today should have kicked a FG in OT

Regardless, if TCU makes it they'll get destroyed in the first playoff game

Last week it was:
1 Georgia
2 Michigan
3 TCU
4. USC
5 Ohio State
6. Alabama

TCU & USC lost, ergo:
1 Georgia
2 Michigan
3 Ohio State
4 Alabama

Alabama getting too much attention due to their history. The selection committee is looking at THIS year. Alabama could have (should have) been 8-4 (maybe 7-5) very easily. Give 'em #5 and let them grovel.

This is why a 12 team playoff is dumb. There are two championship caliber teams. Michigan and Georgia. All else need not apply.

I'd like to see Michigan / Ohio St. for the championship game.

All this is doing is arguing why a 12 team playoff was a bad idea except to add games for entertainment. As usual, there is rarely more than 2-3 teams that deserve a shot at the title. This year it is Georgia/Michigan and no one else should matter.

Ohio State - beat bad by Michigan at home
TCU - just lost to a 3 loss team and will get killed in the playoffs
Bama - multiple losses didnt even make championship
UT - see bama
USC - see TCU
Clemson - doesnt have the resume

The benefit of the 12 team playoffs is to revive a failing bowl system and bring more relevance to more bowl/post season games, not to actually decide who the best team is.

That is the case most years. Any given year, there are 2-3 teams at most that are truly elite. There just isn't the parity like in the NFL where most teams have a realistic shot.

All three of the other teams are praying it's TCU & not Alabama. Probably means they don't belong

All three don't give one crap about who the fourth is. If they did, they wouldn't be one of the three.
