There were only two games this year that no one gave this team a chance- and those were our two best games of the year.

There should not have been so many young players. Not managing the use of the portal and trying to keep players that did not make it. Counting on freshmen was the error in management.

I still say play calling(design) in this game was a lot different than earlier in the season.

Because sometimes you're just snake bit, on and off the field. Anything that CAN go wrong WILL. ( Also called BAS.) Arkansas was more snake bit in our head to head. Otherwise, it was a perfect storm for a very disappointing season. Every loss but two were by 6 or less, with a legit chance to win or force OT on at least 3, including a chance to beat Bama two years in a row. The two exceptions (MSU and Florida) just spiraled out of control.

We have the talent (and now experience), and if we don't see a mass exodus via the portal, next year could be a lot of fun. No matter how good your talent and coaching, winning in the SEC is hard, especially on the road and with a young team, even more so with an inexperienced O-line.

Jimbo's most critical coaching job begins now, to keep current players and finish strong with the incoming class. I think (hope) last night was a good start.
