Because sometimes you're just snake bit, on and off the field. Anything that CAN go wrong WILL. ( Also called BAS.) Arkansas was more snake bit in our head to head. Otherwise, it was a perfect storm for a very disappointing season. Every loss but two were by 6 or less, with a legit chance to win or force OT on at least 3, including a chance to beat Bama two years in a row. The two exceptions (MSU and Florida) just spiraled out of control.
We have the talent (and now experience), and if we don't see a mass exodus via the portal, next year could be a lot of fun. No matter how good your talent and coaching, winning in the SEC is hard, especially on the road and with a young team, even more so with an inexperienced O-line.
