Calling last timeout with 0:17 left in the game…

I agree with his decision to go for 2…
Down 21… Go 8+8, then you only have a 5 point game…
Miss it, you still can go 8+7 and get OT…
Yeah it was, over that is.chlavinka said:
The game wasn't over. Would have been the most miraculous comeback ever. But it was still theoretically possible.
what a crappy way to play the game.greg.w.h said:
Getting an unsportsmanlike against the Aggies for not controlling the crowd with the possibility of a forfeit was worth the timeout.
Wrong. He went for 2 to make it a 13 point game, so then he would kick an onside kick…thus could easily give up a FG to us on a short field and it still be a 2-possession game. So because the 2-pt conversion failed, Lsu kicked it deep instead. That's my theory anyway. I guess the other theory would be LSU wanted to gamble on winning by 1-pt if they could score 2 more touchdowns.sonnysixkiller said:
Going for two where he did equally bizarre.

This is well known and not the least bit surprising that it would be on full display the very first time we played lsu with him as the HC.Quote:

Could have also been he was wanting to tell his players what to do after the game and make sure they don't interact with any of the fans

No it's not. The SEC Conference Office has already transmitted the charging the field rules will change after this season. Just because you don't like it and other fans despise the targeting rules doesn't mean the SEC is wrong to address both fiercely. And therefore an opposing coach is free to run with taking a stand against it. I'm guessing your comments on LSU fans in BR doing exactly the same behavior would be blistering of course…prove me wrong.PippAg said:what a crappy way to play the game.greg.w.h said:

not saying you're wrong, it's just - as op points out - a dou**y way to play it.

He is indeed a D -bag, and one with a faulty backflow preventer as well.agent-maroon said:This is well known and not the least bit surprising that it would be on full display the very first time we played lsu with him as the HC.Quote:

The incident at Michigan was between players, not fans. Mouthy trashy Michigan players started it, specifically, and this has been an ongoing issue with the single tunnel and trashy Michigan players starting crap.45-70Ag said:Z3phyr said:

After what happened at Michigan, this could be true.

I wonder if he called for time out with a southern accent?

Which is why it's possible he called that timeout to tell his players about not interacting with fans that are about to surround you. No need in having charges brought against you after losing a game.

Yeah? No. Rewatch that part of the game again. Kelly is clearly pissed at Ags and stands there staring at our students.
I have no faith the students would even be aware of that rule, and they'd probably do it anyway. I wouldn't be opposed for charging anyone they can identify with trespass and a ton of fines to help pay the fine A&M will now owe to the SEC.bv86ag said:
Do SEC rules state that the home team may be forced to forfeit a game if the students rush the field before the end of regulation?
Specifically...if the police or security personnel cannot get them cleared off the field?
What a way for the students to cost the team a hard fought victory.
Maybe the SEC needs to pass a rule saying any field storming will result in automatic forfeiture.
Maybe that would put a stop to it.
