It would be beyond stupid, that's what scares me,

THIS has been our MAIN PROBLEM in Aggieland. We REFUSE to think outside the box and always say we need MORE EXPERIENCE.
Ask Georgia how their hiring of a DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR is working out for them!?!?!?!

I get where you are coming from with the "thinking outside the box" mentality for future hires. I'd have zero issue if Jimbos replacement is some young no-name from an up and coming program. How is Deion all about Deion - he is coaching at a SWAC school.. doesn't need the money - he did it for exposure for Historical Black College Univ. He did it bc he loves to coach and wants to influence young African American kids.. there is nothing about him

And so what? We can fully expect the same results if we sign Deion to a coaching deal. Look, I absolutely want Jimbo gone. But thinking that hiring a certain flashy former pro football player is gonna magically win titles is delusional.
