We scored 20 points against the 188th Sagarin rated team. There are 50 AA teams ranked above Mass. That makes us tied for lowest point total against a 1-9 team. For perspective:
Tulane scored 42
Toledo scored 55
Temple scored 28
East. Mich scored 20
Liberty scored 42
Etc

We have every single advantage in NIL money, coaching staff salary $$$, facilities, game day environment, and whatever other metric.

How can we possibly be this bad?

This is likely the worst O-Line in the history of the SEC.

This IS the worst head coaching job in the history of the universe.

The plays are there, we just need to execute. Trust the process

We would lose to all 5 of those teams.

We have a coach determined to force a square peg in a round hole

1st) Fundamentals onthe OL. They are just frankly out of position
2nd) the lack of seniority on the team. Year 5 and we play this many freshman? Just ridiculous
3rd) 3 man DL front. Wtf
4th) 3 man DL front. Wtf
5th) injuries and suspensions. This did not help at all
6th) S&C coach, not sure what's happening here. But it's gone down hill after two seasons
7th) play calling is horrendous along with scheme.
8th) team has lost focus on the little things.

I can keep going. But the team is getting worse. Not better.

We're playing for the number one draft pick?

I could pick any Texas high school football coach 4A and above and I guarantee they would have a better record than Jimbo and his OC and DC band of thieves!

We are playing by 2017 rules.

Playing children against fringe NFL practice squaders.

No upper class depth. Playing too many Frosh. A lot of teams like Ole Miss have done an excellent job with the portal. Jimbo doesn't know how or won't take advantage of the portal.

25 year old O scheme. Easily predictable.

Terrible O line coaching.

D Coordinator ran a 3 man front all year, and the best talent is in the Dline.

Injuries.

Poor evaluation of the QB position. Took him 3 tries but he finally selected the correct starter.

NIL $$ and self entitlement.

I ask a different question, how was this team ever not going to be a disaster? #6 give me a break!

Did I miss all the third and fourth year returning starters that were going to LEAD this team, especially at key positions? Who were all our second year players that were going to be first or second team SEC?

We just bought into a lot of hype, and have egg on our face!!! Primarily thanks to the Aggie media which is worthless because they should have seen this coming. (They know the players, roster management, and league better than the causal fan does, right??). And we know better than to listen to all the national talking heads.

These coaches and KIDS have a lot of work to do! I will continue to be a FIGHTIN' TEXAS AGGIE FAN.

When the 4th team announcers are calling out a coach for being overly stubborn and not making the correct adjustments, as we saw today, its a sure sign of a program in disarray.

If you have 5 top 10 recruiting classes including one #1 but continue to lose and are getting worse.............

It's simple….we're not paying him enough

here's 1 big reason...the players are simply not as talented as they were hyped up to be.

their "star" rating in recruiting was wrong.

we have seen numerous players thru the years come in, start, and be great as a true freshman.

why? because they were very talented.

these fish are not

The tone for this season was set when we ducked last years bowl game. Faced with adversity and having to play a mediocre team with a depleted roster, Jimbo refused to rally the team in the face of adversity. The message that was delivered only reinforced the rot of entitlement and quit that has infected this roster and staff. Make no mistake this team quit on the season weeks ago, a lesson that was learned about 12 months ago. Yes we have had injuries. And yes we lack any degree of continuity at key positions. And it does not help that our play calling sucks hind tit. But these are all symptoms of a team that lacks toughness and is quick to quit on itself when the going gets tough. Not sure who can deliver the come to Jesus this group needs. If next year is more of the same we will be forced to flush and repeat. Until then it is cheaper to invest in the players and see what we get next year. I'm not optimistic.

Great recruiting class, new ol position coach, perhaps suspect DC hire who doesn't quite have the right defensive scheme for dealing with either run or tempo offense, and the boys in the trenches have more gelling and seasoning to do.

Are those excuses? Or reality? I'd suggest it's a bit of a mixed bag, but the new guys are getting TONS of snaps. That might work out..,

Jimbo wants to go home *with* pay. He's tired of this gig.

When the government gives away free and guaranteed money to its employees without requiring positive results then the employees lose the motivation to do their jobs correctly.

There are basic program issues that have probably been in place since day one, but there was a convergence and ripening of many factors this year that finally exposed the problems caused by Jimbo's massive ego, stubbornness, hype, inadaptability, and lack of foresight.

At many points along the way during Jimbo's tenure, he could've headed off the majority of problems this year if he didn't have the above mentioned flaws.

I think Elko prevented many of our structural problems being exposed sooner. Aside from year 1, his defenses bailed out the offenses continually.

A win is a win. We are back!
