Derick Henry is wearing arm sleeves.

He has over 900 yards rushing this season. 1 fumble.

Mike Vrabel needs to get his priorities in line.

Moose WORE sleeves in the Florida or Ol' Miss Game, I forget.

Was watching some old "The Pulse" episodes. A few players had 1 sleeve, many did not, but Moose had 2 plain white arm sleeves on in 1 of those games, but not the other. There must be something else to the story.

Moose had an edited tweet where Jimbo's policy is for cold or rainy games only.

Al Michaels mentioned the sleeves. He said when he was broadcasting with Madden a player wearing sleeves fumbled a couple of times. Madden said it was because the sleeves get slick in cold weather. Player didn't have sleeves on the n3xt game.

If he wore puffy sleeves he would look like a pirate.

Comparing JFF to anything is silly. The dude was a force of nature never to be seen again in these parts.

It doesn't matter whether the sleeves make a fumble more likely or not.

Typically your qb isn't going to be an every down ball carrier like other backs and receivers. Also, he was jff so he could get away with it.

ALLEGEDLY, Moose was given the opportunity to remove the sleeves but refused, and his refusal is the reason for benching the rest of the game; if true, that type of breach screams of insubordination/loss of locker room, which is way worse than an arbitrary rule by itself.

I would think we have the technology to make sleeves that don't get slick in cold weather.

Moose has also been great in every game (minus 2022 Arkansas) he's played in under fisher yet he has rode the bench the whole time he's been here and he would likely still be on the bench if not for injuries, Demas Debacle etc.

Moose is not one of "fishers guys" like Chase Lane is…

It might exist, and violate some sort of equipment rule.

If such a material does not exist, and wouldn't violate any rules, I would think the team equipment guy should be on the phone to Adidas saying "Figure out how to do this."

Possibly a second call to the Materials Science and Engineering department on campus. (I looked, but I couldn't find anything under Textile Science, Textile Engineering, or similar.)

Yea you know there is probably even some substance we could find to put on their hands so that they don't get slick either! How has no one thought of this before!

I remember Keyshawn Johnson once wore sleeves in a cold/rainy game. Fumbled once, went to the sidelines and used the tape scissors to cut them off.

Everyone seems to miss the point on this a lot. Whether the rule for no sleeves in the cold is dumb or not that was his rule....what do you think happens to future rules a player decides they don't like if on this one Jimbo had just said nevermind in the game of chicken Moose played?

I think the rule is dumb but 100% understand enforcing it when that's his rule. The only area of authority I'd support Jimbo handing to players is letting them call their own plays.

Big difference between arm sleeves and snorting cocaine or drunk driving. If it's not the hill to die on or isn't a basic expectation of professionalism (be on time, pay attention, etc), don't make a rule to be broken

Don't make a rule that you believe gives your team a competitive edge? (Or at least avoids a disadvantage)

what about a rule that says you gotta cover the ball with both arms at all times when running? And you benched a guy who kept carrying it like a loaf of bread?
