Auburn -2. How bad are we?

Thats surprising. Thought we'd be a 3 point favorite.

No, some might say we are favored to win on a neutral field. This isn't on a neutral field.

I view this game as a pick'em. Auburn is a sucky team who was so bad they fired their coach. We are a sucky team whose coach deserves to be fired but can't be due to a stupid contract. Should be an evenly matched game.

The stakes are high. The title of worst team in the SEC west and second worst in conference is likely to be awarded next weekend.

If we play 36 freshman, we are very bad. Get it under 30 and we have a chance.

Auburn has a couple of very good running backs and a QB that can run, too.

He can't hardly pass, but he can run.

That combo generally hasn't worked well for us this year.

Ap state, right call, we should not have been favored in a game after that

Aggies can't score more than 24. Auburn will rush for over 350 yards. Would take Auburn if I was betting

I'm afraid this is the one thing that will give Auburn a slight edge in the game. Auburn will spread out all wide receivers leaving the short field open. Auburn QB will run for 15 yards. I don't think our defense will have an answer to that.

I wonder which team would win in a dumpster that's been set on fire.

Some of the most difficult games to predict and for Vegas to come up with lines on are games between two very bad teams. Especially when a bad team actually has a lot of talent. Games like this could be blowouts either way or be close. Very hard to predict. A betting line is pretty much meaningless on this game.

Of course they are favored. They're at home and they've played better since Harsin was canned, and they are fired up. We are a bad team that continues to regress every week and we have a terrible coaching staff. They're probably going to win by multiple scores.

Its not particularly difficult at all. They look at the ranking numbers they have for each and set the number accordingly.

Any time you have close to evenly matched teams, the games could be a blowout either way or be close.

1) Ags put money on Auburn -2, refuse to back Jimbo
2) Auburn homers do likewise, drive line way out of whack.
3) Line goes to Auburn -8.
4) Everyone puts money on Ags to cover.

Huge middling opportunity.

Why wouldn't Auburn be favored, they can field 11 players on offense and run the ball.

If #15 plays we will have more competent offense but it won't matter. There is no way this team goes on the road and beats an SEC team. Auburn is better than USC, don't care what the records say.

We are going to finish 4-8... very happy to be wrong of course.

I am not surprised that Auburn is favored. After Mississippi State led Auburn 24-3 with 8:12 left in the 2nd quarter, Auburn outscored Mississippi State 30-6 to take a 33-30 lead with 1:05 left. Mississippi State kicked a game-tying field goal with 29 seconds left and prevailed 39-33 in overtime. Under interim head coach Cadillac Williams, Auburn showed much more heart on the road than we did in the second half against Florida at home.

There are also two negative trends against us.
1. Dating back to a 29-19 loss at Ole Miss on 11/13/21, we have lost 8 of our last 10 games against FBS opponents, including 7 of 8 SEC games.
2. We have lost 5 consecutive road games. Our last road win was a 35-14 rout at Missouri on 10/16/21, and our last road win against an SEC West team was a 31-20 win at Auburn on 12/5/20.

The loser of this game will finish 4-8 (1-7 SEC) and dead last in the SEC West. If we don't win at Auburn, our road win drought will stretch into next year and likely into 2024. Next year, we have tough road SEC games at Tennessee, Ole Miss, and LSU next year, and we will probably lose all 3 road games.

Not sure how you predict this game when there is no way of knowing who runs out of the tunnel and who plays QB. Would it surprise you if King starts again?

Same can be said for Richardson/Florida. But he managed to throw unbelievable well against us. Maybe a freak game? Or maybe we can make average players look good.

We bad. And I don't mean that in a good way.

Home field, interim coach thats former alumni & star, and A&M is the walking wounded.

Quite telling when a team lacking a head coach is favored.

Is Weigman recovered enough to practice? If he practices this week and plays Saturday I bet on A&M.
