There is plenty of blame to be thrown around and Jimbo inherits most of it when it's all said and done. But if these glaring issues can be addressed properly then there is a chance we can get the train back in the tracks and not have to burn it all down.

1. O Line

SEC football is won in the trenches, and we can't even find the trench. The porous O Line needs a complete overhaul. Fire Addazio and throw the money bags at an elite O Line coach.

Pull in as much experienced talent from the transfer portal as the scholarship limit allows.

2. OC

Fire Dickey and demote Coley and Fisher from OC duties. Back up the brinks truck for a splash OC hire that can take over playcalling duties entirely. Hopefully this also rejuvenates recruiting.

3. HC

Jimbo needs to put the Denny's menu down, relinquish playcalling duties and be the CEO of the program. Focus on game time management, preparation, oversight and everything else besides calling plays. Get control of the locker room and still manage to have your fingerprints on the offense to a certain degree.

4. Job Titles

Change Damien Craig's job title to head recruiting coordinator and hire a proper WR coach. Hell, hire the footwork king if possible.

Give all position coaches their natural position back and hire coordinators that can both recruit and coach.

This is all just a start but would be a major step in the right direction that would produce instant results. Most of this would need to take place this off-season but the process needs to begin now.

Until then, remove the maroon sunglasses with caution…

Agree with all but the hire FWK comment. He can be hired as what you are proposing for Craig. He is not a proper WR coach. Bagman at best. Likely our main bagman so make it official if you want but he is not a position coach

You're probably right, but we do need a WR coach that can get the most out of our talent. Meanwhile, we still need to keep Craig on staff for his recruiting ability alone.

OLine, OLine, OLine...we need correction of this ASAP! Agree with majority of this assessment: Jimbo believes he's a topnotch OC but his team/ players "are not executing" (smh). I'm not sure Jimbo would be content as just the HC/ CEO of the FB team but we'll see after this crapshow of Jimbo's Year 5/ Fall 2022 season.

None of that needs to happen for us to win…

Just simplify the offense….

No job title changes. Anyone associated with this offense needs to be canned. Hire an OC, let them hire their people.

I agree that the biggest issue is the our offensive line. I don't think Max Johnson would have done much better than Haynes King or Connor Weigman. Kellen Mond, and Zack Calzada probably would have also struggled behind this porous offensive line.

Face it - Nobody worth a damn is going to come here and do all the work of rebuilding the offense just so Jimbo can get all the credit.

In addition, I doubt many would want to go to all the trouble of pulling up stakes and come here to work for a coach who tenure appears to be on borrowed time.

You are on the wrong thread then. There must be twenty or so threads where you could post in defense of Jimbo or the players. They need your services now more than ever!

Yep, all of our offensive woes begin and end with the O Line. Could even say our QB injuries stem from that as well.

Achane is likely a heisman candidate behind a good O line.

Did you listen to the interview David Nuno did with Jamie McCoy and Jordan Pugh this week? Very insightful and they pretty much see the situation in the same regard. Pugh calls a spade a spade, and says we most certainly should hire an OC to call plays, and until then need to simplify the offense to allow play makers to be play makers. Way to complicated for these kids. Powerful statements from ex-players. Also mentioned that Achane could be an absolute beast with some help from the OLine. It falls directly on their shoulders. Achane has demonstrated that given a little semblance of space he exploits it and explodes. Generational talent.

I too will state the obvious. If we had just an average O-line we would be a 1 loss team right now; maybe undefeated.
Let's go, Brandon!

You showed your stupidity too early to make the rest worth reading. I have zero doubt thay if we had a healthy line this whole time our team and record would be leaps and bounds better. Injuries never let the line gel. Sorry but I won't fault Addazio or Jimbo for injuries. This is just the hand we've been dealt this year.

Second, this is entirely Jimbo's scheme, and Dickey is a top OC. Jimbo simply needs to hand him the keys and focus on game management.

Like I said you lost me after the beginning so I didn't bother reading the rest of your garbage opinion.

Maybe we should hire a good OC and not a "splash" OC, Jimbo was a "splash" hire. It hasn't worked out so well. Chavez was a "splash" hire, and we all ended up hating him.

A case study in stupid would be everything in your comment. I lost you at the beginning where I point out our biggest weakness is our O line, which is not even debatable at this point. Then you go on to defend Addazio who is responsible for their production. And you double down on defending the 111th ranked offense and proceed to call our backseat OC one of the top in the game.

Finally, after using the injury excuse last season, you go for it again this season while every other team seems to overcome their injury issues, at least to the point of not being ranked in the 100's on offense.

Now I've seen some incredibly stupid takes here at the zoo, but this one takes the cake. I'm convinced that I'm either being trolled or you're not actually an A&M grad.

The people that thought this was a great post are not paying attention to this team. OLINE is #1 fix on this team. Dickey is OC in title only because Jimbo calls the plays. Craig is QB coach not WR coach. Coley is the WR coach and has been OC and WR coach at Georgia and in NFL. BUT WE DO NEED A OC OTHER THAN our current 1

That's what I mean though. Coley used to be TE coach and Craig used to be WR coach. Not that it entirely worked then, but it was much better than it is now.

The position coach switch that was announced just before the season is clearly not working, and the switch was made for a reason to begin with.

U had a experienced QB. Except for last season and the # will not be better if u match last year and this season. Plus injuries on OLINE and best WR down. Offensive position coaching changes didn't affect play in a bad way this season.

The injury excuse could be used every season. We need to reach a point of next man up and still be able to produce at least a decent team.

The O Line was terrible even before the injuries that that argument is moot. O Line is a problem top to bottom and needs to be addressed via transfer portal to patch the holes. And Addazio needs to be the first to go for this abomination.
