This is not true. Yes, they have vastly improved, but we have the overall better athletics program. Below is a re-post from this argument a year ago.

For the 2020-2021 Director's Cup between A&M and Baylor in the sports they both play: A&M wins in more sports. A&M has the better overall athletics program. I'm sure I'll hear that only certain sports count, but the argument is who has the better athletics program, which is A&M. Below also does not count our very good swim/dive programs because Baylor doesn't even have the sport.

W. Soccer: Winner - A&M
W. Indoor T&F: Winner - A&M
Softball: Winner - A&M
W. Tennis: Winner - A&M
W. Outdoor T&F: Winner - A&M

Let's see. How many years ago did they win a football game against A&M? It would probably be that many again before they win another one.

They did very well in a very weak conference, albeit one that is entertaining but in no hopes of the big Cigar.

BYU is all lite up about being able to play both OU and UT before they leave for the SEC. I didn't see them getting exciting over playing Baylor or Tech or Cincinatti. Just the big ones.

Maybe. I highly suspect they would baylol the game. And, even if they did win, they would still be baylol.

Not since 2000. 2010, yes. Their football program was absolutely horrendous still through most of the 2000s until Art Briles came along and rehabilitated it.

So was ours really til Johnny rehabilitated ours. I'd argue the fact that their fans young and old saw them lift a national championship in one of the two mens revenue sports trumps anything we've done since 2000.

Exactly. Since 2012, Baylor football has played a grand total of three SEC teams: 2 wins (Vandy, Ole Miss), 1 loss (Georgia). Get a big boy schedule that regularly features an Alabama, an LSU, then let's talk.

Except Baylor was the one team we could still consistently beat, even in the Sherman and Fran years. Our head to head record alone proves we were still the better program that decade.
