This would be a slam dunk OC hire if Matt Rhule doesn't land a HC gig back in college.

Play calling duties can be handed over to him entirely with full confidence from Jimbo.

On top of that, Rhule has worked with Addazio while at Temple and could get on the same page again with him in no time and have our offense firing on a cylinders.

Rhule inherited a 1-11 Baylor team in 2017 and had them at 11-1 by 2019 and in the big12 championship.

This is a too good to be true hire that would require some luck and a lot of convincing, which Jimbo seems to be great at. Throw some extra titles his way and make this happen!

GET THIS MAN NOW!!!! Bjork needs to hire him as a Football advisor (coach in waiting) Jimbo always preaches the best man plays, iron sharpens iron, and competition breads success well lets see it on the coaching staff. Rhule gets to be at all practices and team meetings and Jimbo better call a great game or be replaced. See how he likes looking over his shoulder!

Jimbo would be smart to hire him as a "consultant" should the Panthers fire him. Better get there before Saban if B.O.B gets an HC job somewhere. .

Well, I don't think Jimbo is going to be great at convincing himself we need a new OC and who has leverage over him to help him to that decision?

Agreed. Give Rhule the keys to our offense and set him up as coach in waiting should Jimbo not be able to get us back on track.

The pressure alone might make Jimbo excel. But I could see a Rhule and Jimbo combo being the perfect storm that we need at just the right time.

Rhule hates Addazio. His first move would be to fit Addazio with concrete boots, which might be the best move for the program anyway.

Rhule inherited a team that went 7-6 under interim Jim Grobe. Rhule's first team went 1-11.

Perfect we would need to lose an on field coach to stay under the 11 coach limit anyway! Let Rhule coach the line and be OC.

well they would certainly work well together with that setup!

Rhule is an amazing motivator and his preferred defensive schemes are super solid. Offense is a bit too conservative because he's trying to control ball possession. He and his staff didn't take a liking to recruiting and problems would have shown up if he'd remained at Baylor. I still love and am very grateful for what he did at Baylor.

The gutsy call would be to fire Jimbo and hand over all that talent to Rhule with the understanding that he's a 3-4 year bridge to the next guy.

Matt Rhule is going to most likely get fired from Carolina pretty soon. He would be a great addition to the coaching staff.

His calling card is taking average talent and getting them to overachieve.

Only works in average conferences not the NFL…

I could see Matt Rhule going to Nebraska.
His teams play a very Midwestern boring style of football.

His calling card is his 3-3-5 defense.
Sometimes his teams even play a 3-2-6 defense with a defensive back or safety at the linebacker position.

The 3-3-5 was the Iowa St HC scheme to beat the BDF spread air raid not rhules

Rhule isn't a good recruiter and hates it, I bet he he stays in the nfl if he can

Jimbo is very loyal to his coaches and players. Loyalty is a great trait although it can hurt the good of the whole team at times. There are times loyalty must be forsaken for the good of the organization. Principle: Jimbo's loyalty is more of a benefit to the A&M football program than it is a negative. Trust Jimbo to make the right calls at the right time on coaches and players.

Well, I feel like JF and our program is trying to figure things out every season. It is time for coaches to kick butt at their specialty or be sent packing. Let's start with a new QB evaluator and OL coach. The talent is here. No more patience.

He is and has been a good head football coach. Why would he stoop lower for a coordinators position? He has millions to play with from his last job.

He's coached both ways. Was Temple's OC for 4 years.

But this is all a silly exercise. He's going to be a HC for a pretty good program by the end of the year.
