Look… I used to draw up plays in the 8th grade…
On paper they ALL worked… Every freakin' time…
However, my 8th grade football coach would show me why all my beautiful plays were CRAP… He would show me that my plays would only work against pansy-ass defenders…
Anyone with a pulse and a modicum of aggression and instinct would blow them up..
That's where we are now… Play calls that require overwhelming physical advantage of the O Line, and perfect execution..
I know, let's run our 189 pound back up the gut time after time…
I know, let's let our QB throw 4 yard passes over and over and march it down the field in 16 plays…
The evolution of the game has a nasty habit of leaving narcissistic coaches in the trash heap…because they refuse to change…
