Exactly right. That was the turning point. Launching and extending the ball 3-4 yards out blew my mind. Sorry about your luck piggy!

What would the call have been if the kick had hit the top of the post and boinked on in the same plane as before? Thus, it would have passed thru the extended line of the goal post. I assume it would be no good, but I guess I don't know how it would be called.

I ask because when I saw it on TV, it appeared to boink behind, not back in front of the post.

An inch or two higher and that goes over the upright. I'm pretty sure they would have said it's good base off the angle it was coming from would make it appear that way..

Big difference though - we won that game. If your QB is going to make dumb decisions, better have the team to back him up.
