For those of you complaining about how terrible Jimbo is and this is his 5th so we expect the moon, think about meat chicken. Harbaugh has been there since 2015 and has a career record of 121-51. That comes out to a .703 record, which is exactly what Jimbo has at the moment.

For the sake of building a program, how about we pump the brakes and think of the program in longer terms than in 5 year increments. For those that flame away, do a bit of research before wanting to hit the reset every 4-6yrs.

Edit: and by the way, if you haven't noticed, meat chicken is playing damn good ball this year and the past few years to boot. Maybe it takes longer than 5yrs to build a program.

So we should expect a conference championship this year. Got it.

Yes but he was 32-8 over seasons 5-7. Lost the national championship in year 8.

What has he done at Arkansas? He's 14-11 (.560). His first season was abysmal and his second was led by a disproportionate amount of 'super seniors'.

My family is full of Michigan alumni(I was born about 50 miles from Ann Arbor), Michigan fans definitely have not always been happy with Harbaugh. He had issues early on offensively but since he's released the reigns on the offense, the team has taken another step. Last year went a long way in the minds of Michigan fans and despite his off-season antics, the majority of Michigan fans are happy with Harbaugh.

Or maybe we have been following Aggie football for several decades and have seen mismanagement fail to produce results over and over. The powers that be ran off the right coach( Jackie Sherril) and keep under performing coaches for much too long. We had the right man in charge (Bowen Loftin) only to watch that clown Sharp run him off. Now we have given an extension to Fisher and it is beginning to look like wash, rinse, repeat.

Aggies will be happiest when we have a program that competes consistently for titles and doesn't drop home games to inferior competition. When our teams fail to do that after the massive investment of resources, time and emotional energy, we are justifiably unhappy.

Lloyd Carr lost to App State, not Rich Rodriguez, which was objectively still a disastrous hire.

He won 3 SEC games his first season and lost 2-3 more by one possession after Arkansas went 0-16 in the SEC the two years prior.

Context is important, the program was a mess.

Not saying he's a bad coach. He just hasn't done anything yet. Time will tell.

I have the utmost of respect for Mr. Harbaugh. He took his team to the Normandy cemetery and pointed to the Graves. Told his team right here is why we never kneel. Hope they win out.

OP, no we do not need to give Fisher more time. But hell, the way we operate around here, I would not put it past this A&M Board of Regents and AD Bjork to grant Fisher a LIFETIME (Calipari) contract regardless of how this year ends.

Michigan has been largely irrelevant fir his entire
tenure. I wondered why M woukd continue with him. Becoming another Michigan/ Harbaugh is EXACTLY what I fear.

He took SEVEN YEARS just to get to a place where he lost 2 games. Before that, not even counting the Covid year he went 2-4, he lost 18 games in 5 years.

that means basically liSing 3-4 games every year. Sure thats what we should be shooting for.

Some folks in this place sound like the ****ers in Austin. No patience. You want a coach fired after 3-5 seasons when in reality it takes time. A lot of time.

It took 11 seasons for Dabo to be undefeated. Season 5 he was 11-2. Season 7 he was 10-3 with a bad loss to Georgia Tech. So much regression.

Pittman/Arkansas Trending Upwards, Has Beat A&M
Fisher/A&M Trending Downwards

Harbaugh took awhile, but finally won the B10 division and got into the CFP in his 7th year at Michigan. In the same breath, Harbaugh has many 10 win seasons and he did it during his first few seasons. Fisher has zero 10 win seasons here. If Fisher was pulling off 10 win seasons here, we would be very accepting of that accomplishment. Pittman trended overnight and got SEC wins out of the gate from an 0-14 team, and he's beat Fisher.

A&M under Fisher is unfortunately trending downwards, no 2 ways about it. We very well could end up finishing this season unranked, making it 2 years in a row, while both Michigan and Arkansas remain Top 25 teams.

Fisher still has a chance to win out or at minimum pull off a 10 win season, and right this ship… Ahoy matey or walk the plank mutiny is over the horizon come end of season…
