In Jimbo we trust....

At least I still do.

I don't place blame on these kids! Coaching seems to be the real issue. Will Jimbo hire an OC that would come in with a fresh approch with modern play calling? We can only hope.

Do some positions need to change? For sure!

Do we have the depth of talented kids that will step up? Absolutely

It is one freaking game and some on here are ready to jump off the cliff or never watch a game ever again!

As for me and mine...... there is no better place than an Aggie football game! We have seen decades of Aggie football and this school, this team, and this program (and other sports) have never been on a better trajectory than it is now!

*Go ahead and flame away. I can take it!

It will always be Jimbo's offense. No real OC will come to carry his water.

I appreciate it but in all honesty for me....I have been concerned and vocal about Jimbo's offense since the 2020 season. Writing has been on the wall for YEARS now. Thing is, Elko was able to cover up the ineptitude of the offensive coordinator with a dominating defense.

Fisher's best coaching choice was Elko.

And if our defense struggles this year, oh God, all Hell will break loose for sure. Can you imagine what this team's record in the Fisher tenure would be with a Sumlin like defense? That in itself boosts the value of Sumlin as a offensive guru. Cause I will tell you now, Jimbo is NOT a guru of offense in college. That died easily over a decade ago.

Jimbo cannot hide anymore. He has this season to prove all the OC haters wrong. I will give him the next 9 games but my confidence level is a 0.00

I don't have a choice, none of us do. I'm with Jimbo as long as he's our coach. I trust he knows what he's doing more than any of us on this board. I'm a loyal Aggie and I will go down with this ship.

Zero trust. Jimbo has had too many years to prove his offense. It's a failure. Will not accept until he moves on.

I expect Jimbo to look in the mirror, be self objective, and recognize what is happening before his eyes. He needs to get into the coaching room with his staff and ask them to be honest to themselves, to him, and state what is the problem and a suggested fix.

That is what a good leader would do.

At some point you have to win games that matter. At this point in year five Jimbo can't win games that don't matter.

I am and always will be a loyal Ag. I have big plans for Miami game and this changes none of it.

But it is plainly stupid to follow an idiot general into a battle. And this isnt the military as we have a choice. Sorry I value our brand and football team too much. Jimbo is just another coach that is likely to come and go just like his predecessors.

He hasnt done a SINGLE thing to deserve a blind following. If you followed Sumlin blindly, I give you respect for the undying committment. But dont give you respect for your football IQ.

Jimbo needs to prove it. He put together a good staff and has recruited pretty well but he has NOT proven a single thing on the field!!!! Wake up, please.

He does ramble his mouth better than most.....

Playing to the level of your competition shows poor mental preparation by the staff.

Easy to get a team pumped to play SEC teams, takes more talent to get them "up" to play lesser competition.

In my opinion, Fisher has changed the offense since 18 but it's probably to our detriment. In 18 we ran plays under center from the I formation and Travion had a huge season. We don't do that anymore and we rarely run out of the pistol which also could give us a slight edge on running downs. This year we seem to have made explosive plays a priority but can't get that done and can't string successful plays together to sustain drives. Personally, I don't care what we run as long as we run it well. And that is not happening and we look so nonchalant from the opening whistle it makes me wonder if anyone knows what we're trying to do.

Some of us remember when right after Jimbo signed his $75 million dollar contract an interviewer asked him about what his (deceased) coal miner and farmer father, 'Big Jim', would think about a job that would bring in that kind of money.

Jimbo said his old man would have told him that he'd better get off his ass and start earning his money.

I think ole Big Jim's advice would be appropriate now. Sure, Jimbo has signed some great players, but the BMA's have a lot to do with that in this environment, and they're not spending Jimbo's money.

No better place to be? Seriously? This why we won't ever be an elite program. No better place to be…., hell why would the organization risk changing anything….

If more people actually quit supporting crap play, they might actually make a real effort to fix it, but alas they don't have to. People like you will blindly show up no matter what product they put out there.

I did trust in Jimbo completely until this last Saturday.
He lost my trust with his inability to make changes that appear obvious to everyone but him.
To keep doing the same thing and expect different results is a sure sign of insanity.
To start regaining my trust I need to see a new quarterback specifically Max Johnson start this weekend against Miami.
And I also need to see much improved playcalling. Not this piss poor unimaginative plays that do not produce positive yards. Quit throwing 25 yards to the sideline for 1 yard gain.

We just got our asses handed to us at home to App State and they were clearly the better team. Our starting QB has 33.1 QBR Which puts him almost dead last in all of college football.

Our entire offense looks like a deer caught in the headlights and on every play it feels like 100 things need to go right for us to get 3 yards and you're saying in Jimbo we trust?

I don't know what you're drinking but I need some of it.

It's one thing to be an alumni and a fan.

It's another thing to just completely deny reality and live in a fantasy world.

Here is reality: We suck royal F****** ASS at football in 2022.

This is much more in line with what I think the problem is. A loss like this with our talent is a culture issue starting at the top. I believe Jimbo can move past it, but he's got to act quick before he loses the team/season.

I've got a lot more details on this in the Loochador thread.
