He's fast but fast like a giraffe. Seems like it's an invitation to get hurt when he's all "jangley and akimbo". Doesn't really tuck prior to impact.

I personally think he did a very good job today, but that running style is so awkward. Johnny never seemed to give defenders a good target.

Anybody else think this?

Yes, he is like a fast Kellen. Makes me nervous.

Kellen actually seemed faster when he got moving.

Johnny only ran a 4.7. It's what you do with it.

Kellen had great straight line speed. On the rare occasion that he didn't need to make a move, he was gone.

Johnny was quick, not so much fast. He wasn't slow, but didn't have blazing speed.

Max johnson looked more elusive on his one run of the day.

It's like he has wild limbs while running.

A giraffe could do better at QB than King.

Biggest surprise for me was he wasn't physically bigger. I was hoping he would bulk up some.

He's more straight line speed and not shifty. Agree that sliding may help avoid injury as some of the hits he takes look awkward.

He can run freely with the back-up QB's we have.

Conner is the best runner of the 3.

This argument that straight line speed equals dual threat is really getting exhausting.

He had 7 less yards than achane, the leading rusher, on 1/3 the carries of Achane.

Not me. I still don't like him.

King is NOT a good dual threat QB like everyone says. Hes slow at the start of the play but has no quickness.. He may have the "best on team" straight line speed what good is that? Maybe the very few times he gets open space he can outrun the defender but he is so slow to develop he will rarely be in that position. What good is speed without initial quickness? Jimbo based his decision on how he performed in practice but he wears a safety shirt and no one gets close to him . And those interceptions? What?
