Jimbo told me he was going to wait until the morning of Sept 3. He doesn't want to give Sam Houston any kind of advantage.

Why do we want the starter to be named soon? I would like our opponent to have to prepare for all 3 guys

What is the advantage of "announcing" the starter? Just go through the process and people will figure it out on September 3rd. Players and coaches will know by who takes the most first team snaps.

last year it was the Wednesday before game week...so that's why people expect to hear something on the back half of this week.

9/24 - Wegman
Stowers will play the second series of the 3rd quarter of each game.

Jimbo is waiting on the 2nd and 3rd place trophies to come in. UPS tracking has delivery date of this Friday. He doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings or get a call from the mom's.

Also, I just really hope that when his time comes he's not playing for OU.
What is the last day a player can transfer to another school? I see no reason the QB competition is ended until after the 2nd game. I know this goes against conventional wisdom but we have an unusual situation this year with 3 QBs that probably could start for most other teams.
Treat Sam like a scrimmage and give equal snaps to all three…what could possibly go wrong???
